Why join us?

This is a unique opportunity to drive impact at the intersection of AI value creation between Anthropic, MBB and PE ecosystem!

Symphony is a trusted technology partner to some of the world's most ambitious companies — from high-growth startups and venture-backed innovators to Fortune 500 enterprises and PE-backed middle-market businesses. Over the past several years, we have built deep, lasting relationships with elite VC and private equity funds, top management consulting firms, and the founders and operators who sit at the center of the technology ecosystem.

We are a self-sufficient, profitable business with 700+ technologists, engineering hubs across Southeast Europe and Latin America, and a strong commercial presence in the US and Western Europe. Our reputation speaks for itself — we are a preferred partner to firms including Apollo, EQT, CVC, Bain Capital, Lone View and others.

This is a rare opportunity to join a firm that has already earned its seat at the table. You won't be building credibility from scratch — you'll be deepening relationships, shaping conversations, and helping define what the next chapter of Symphony looks like in the market.

In this role, you will work directly with Symphony's founder and collaborate with alumni of Stanford, Princeton, Oxford, Wharton, and UCLA, alongside seasoned operators from BCG, McKinsey, and Bain. If you are looking for a high-impact platform to make your mark at the intersection of technology, private equity, and business building — this is it

Role overview:

Title: VP,  Tech Partnerships and Growth
Report line:  Founder/President
Location: East Coast US

Symphony is seeking a VP of Tech Partnerships and Growth to deepen our presence and relationships across the US technology and private equity ecosystem. This is not a traditional business development or sales role. It is a senior relationship and thought leadership position — for someone who wants to be known in the market, not just productive in it.

You will build on Symphony's existing fund and enterprise relationships, represent the firm at the highest levels of the PE and startup ecosystem, and help shape Symphony's voice and point of view on AI, technology, and value creation. You will be a trusted peer to Operating Partners, founders, and C-suite executives — not a vendor knocking on doors.

What this role is — and isn't:

At Symphony, this role has evolved significantly over the last couple of years. We now have a strong market credibility, a recognized brand, and established relationships with 40+ PE funds and their portfolio companies. We are not looking for a hunter. We are looking for a connector, a thought leader, and a trusted ecosystem presence.

The right person will be as comfortable moderating an industry panel as they are in a one-on-one conversation with a portfolio company CEO. They will understand the language of private equity value creation, speak credibly about AI and technology transformation, and bring a genuine network — not just a rolodex.

Key responsibilites:

   Relationship cultivation and ecosystem presence

  • Deepen Symphony's existing relationships with PE funds, Operating Partners, VC firms, and enterprise technology leaders
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to C-level executives and founders, identifying opportunities for collaboration and long-term partnership
  • Represent Symphony at key industry events, conferences, and forums (SuperReturn, SaaStr, PEI, Pavilion, and similar)

  Thought leadership and content

  • Develop and share a compelling point of view on AI, technology transformation, and value creation — through writing, speaking, podcasting, or panels
  • Collaborate with Symphony's marketing team to shape content strategy that resonates with PE Operating Partners, founders, and enterprise technology leaders
  • Help define and evolve Symphony's value proposition as the market shifts

  Strategic partnership development

  • Identify and pursue high-value partnership opportunities aligned with Symphony's strengths in AI, digital engineering, and value creation
  • Lead strategic planning for key partnerships, including P&L oversight and growth targets
  • Work cross-functionally with delivery, recruiting, and resourcing teams to ensure partnership needs are met
Market intelligence
  • Stay close to trends in AI, GenAI, SaaS, and PE value creation — and bring those insights back into Symphony's strategy and positioning
  • Act as Symphony's eyes and ears in the market, identifying where we can add the most value

Who are we looking for:

You likely come from one of these backgrounds:

  • Management consulting (MBB — Bain, McKinsey, or BCG), ideally with a PE or technology practice focus, followed by a senior operator role at a VC or PE-backed company.
  • A senior BD, partnerships, or GTM leader at a tech services, digital engineering, or SaaS firm with deep exposure to the PE ecosystem
  • A former Operating Partner or value creation executive at a PE fund, looking to move to the platform/vendor side

What will make you stand out:

  • You are based on the East Coast — New York, Boston, or Chicago strongly preferred
  • You hold a top-tier MBA (Wharton, HBS, Booth, Kellogg, MIT Sloan, Tuck, or Columbia)
  • You have 8–15 years of experience spanning consulting and operator roles
  • You are active in the PE/VC community — you show up at the right events, you know the right people, and people know you
  • You publish content, speak on panels, or have a visible point of view in your domain
  • You have owned a P&L or revenue targets and understand what it means to drive business outcomes
  • You are intellectually curious about AI and technology — you don't need to be an engineer, but you can hold your own in a conversation about AI in the SDLC, agentic workflows, or digital transformation

Requirements:

  • Top-tier MBA required (exceptions considered for candidates with an exceptional, proven track record)
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience across consulting and operator roles
  • Demonstrated track record in relationship-building, strategic partnerships, or GTM in the technology or PE ecosystem
  • Strong communicator and influencer — comfortable presenting to founders, C-suite executives, and investment professionals
  • Ability to operate independently in an entrepreneurial, fast-moving environment
