Why this role is exciting for you

At Swave Photonics, we’re not just dreaming about the future: we’re building it! We are a fabless semiconductor company that designs and markets holographic chips based on proprietary diffractive photonics technology. Our mission is to enable display manufacturers and content creators to disrupt the visualization market with immersive ultra-high resolution, life-like, true holographic displays.

Imagine a world where holographic displays make the impossible possible, where visualization meets collaboration and transforms productivity. Joining Swave means being at the forefront of this revolution, shaping the future of immersive technology.

To drive our ambitious vision, we’re opening a position for an Industrialisation Manager. In this role, you will be the architect of our transition from lab-scale innovation to global commercial reality, ensuring our ground-breaking NanoPixel technology reaches the hands of millions.

Your role

As Industrialisation Manager, you will lead the transition of our world-first holographic display chips from the lab to large-scale commercial availability.

You will oversee the industrialization of our NanoPixel technology, ensuring that our sub-wavelength diffractive optics can be manufactured reliably using standard 300mm CMOS processes at high yields.

What you will do

  • Production Roadmap & Ramp-up: Define and execute the industrialization strategy to move HXR chips from initial samples to volume production.

  • Fabless Supply Chain Management: Act as the primary technical interface with external semiconductor foundries and OSAT partners.

  • Design for Manufacturing (DfM): Collaborate with IC Design and Systems teams to ensure pixel-level diffractive patterns are optimized for high-yield manufacturing.

  • Quality & Reliability: Together with product, quality and test teams establish rigorous reliability test protocols for individual devices, pixel structures, circuits and commercial products, ensuring compliance with ISO reliability standards for consumer and defense applications.

  • Test Strategy Development: Lead the design and deployment of Automated Test Equipment (ATE) strategies for wafer and package-level testing.

  • New Product Introduction (NPI): Manage industrialization work packages to deliver customer samples in spec and on time.

What you bring to the table

We’re looking for someone who recognizes themselves in most of the points below:

  • Fluent English and Mandarin speaker, willing to reside in Taiwan (with initial onboarding in Leuven).

  • Master’s or PhD in Electronics, Materials Science, or Photonics.

  • 10+ years in semiconductor industrialization, ideally in a fabless environment.

  • Deep technical expertise in CMOS manufacturing, silicon photonics, or micro-displays.

  • A "startup spirit", thriving in an agile environment and balancing technical rigor with speed.

About Swave

We are a fabless semiconductor company headquartered in Leuven, Belgium, with a growing presence in the US. Backed by seasoned leaders and a team of passionate engineers, we’re pioneering holographic technology at the intersection of optics, semiconductors, and systems design.

At Swave, you’ll find:

  • A culture built on authenticity, trust, and openness.

  • A small but ambitious team with a bias for action.

  • An environment where creativity and purpose drive everything we do.

  • Space to take ownership, experiment, and see your ideas come to life.

What we offer you

We believe the best work happens when people feel valued and inspired. That’s why we offer a competitive salary package tailored to your skills, expertise, and impact.

At Swave, you’ll work at the cutting edge of optics and semiconductors. We know life doesn’t fit neatly into a 9-to-5 schedule, so we put results before hours — with flexibility and hybrid/remote options where it makes sense.
