To drive our ambitious vision, we’re opening a position of Digital Physical Engineer. In this role you will be a key figure in designing and implementing high-quality digital and mixed-signal IC layouts.
Role and responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for designing and implementing the digital layout for various ICs, both mixed signal and pure digital.
- You will work closely with other engineers to ensure that the designs meet specifications and are manufacturable.
- You will work with the design team to optimize the layout for performance, power, and area.
- You will implement the layout using industry-standard layout tools.
- You will verify the layout by running physical verification tools.
- You will provide feedback to the design team to improve the design flow and methodologies.
- You will stay up-to-date with the latest layout design trends, tools, and techniques.
The role can be at either designer or senior designer level.
Requirements:
- You hold a Bachelors/Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- You have at least 5 years of experience in digital layout.
- You have a strong understanding of layout design principles, design rules, and methodologies.
- You are familiar with design and layout on advanced nodes.
- You are proficient at working with industry-standard layout tools such as Cadence Innovus, Mentor Graphics, or Synopsys and you’re able to produce high quality layout.
- You are familiar with scripting languages such as Perl or TCL.
- You are experienced in working with physical verification tools such as Calibre or ICV.
- Bonus points if you’re experienced with Verilog and DFT insertion!
- You show excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- You thrive in a fast-paced environment and you can easily adapt to changing circumstances.
- You have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative, team-first mindset.
- You are fluent in English, both spoken and written.

Location:
Our headquarters are in the vibrant city of Leuven, Belgium. While the magic happens on-site, some remote work options are available.
