To drive our ambitious vision, we’re opening a position of Field Application Engineer to to take a leading role in driving our customer’s products to market as quickly as possible.

Role and responsibilities
The successful candidate will leverage strong technical talent and a customer savvy disposition to help customers solve problems and execute great products.  From a home base in Belgium you will execute the design of systems to enable the verification and testing of a state of the art holographic projection semiconductor IC.   You will travel extensively, develop key technical relationships with our best customers, and help them launch game-winning products based on our newest break-through technologies.

- You will be responsible for the bring up, testing, debugging and validation of our test boards, development systems and evaluation kits.
- You will coordinate and collaborate with external and internal stakeholders, including (but not limited to) SW development team, IC design, electronic board design, etc.
- You will support our customers to build their products leveraging our evaluation kits.

Qualifications 
- You hold a Masters degree in EE.
- You have at least 5 years of industry experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge FPGA design, testing and HW/SW co-development.
- Knowledge of logic design, modeling and testing (Verilog).
- Comfortable with embedded Linux SW development and testing, device driver development and board bring up.
- Good knowledge of C, C++ and/or Python.
- Familiarity with semiconductor and system testing is a plus.
- Able to plan and execute according to tight schedules.
- Is comfortable operating in a lab setting for extended periods.
- You are a team player with good communication skills.
- Experience in a customer facing role is a plus.
- Excellent professional command of English both spoken and written

Location
Your home base will be our headquarters the vibrant city of Leuven, Belgium. However, this role requires you to travel on a regular basis, so you can work your magic in different parts of the world (and from home).
