The Business Operations Analyst plays a critical role in driving data-informed decision-making across Commercial Operations and the broader organization. This role is responsible for transforming complex, multi-source data into actionable insights that improve go-to-market performance, customer retention, operational efficiency, and compensation accuracy.

As a strategic partner to Sales, Customer Experience, Marketing, Finance, HR, Product, and Engineering, this individual will manage and optimize data flows across systems including Salesforce.com, Totango, Pendo, and Zuora. The role will contribute to getting data into and out of the company’s data warehouse and translates it into scalable Power BI reporting solutions.

In addition to business analytics, this role will lead process automation initiatives particularly around Sales & CS compensation operations, compensation data validation, and performance tracking ensuring accuracy, transparency, and operational efficiency. This position acts as a trusted advisor, delivering insights and building systems that enable smarter, faster business decisions.

What you will be doing

    • Data Strategy, Integration & Reporting
    • Help manage commercial data pipelines across Salesforce.com, Totango, Pendo, Zuora, and other operational systems.
    • Partner with Data/Engineering teams to structure, validate, and maintain data within the enterprise data warehouse.
    • Design, build, and maintain scalable Power BI dashboards and reporting frameworks that support Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Finance, and Executive leadership.
    • Develop standardized KPI definitions and reporting governance to ensure consistency and transparency across the organization.
    • Monitor data integrity and proactively identify discrepancies across systems.

    • Commercial Performance & Customer Insights
    • Analyze full-funnel performance including pipeline health, sales cycle efficiency, retention, expansion, customer adoption, and overall customer health.
    • Provide actionable insights that optimize go-to-market strategy and cost-to-serve efficiency.
    • Identify trends and root causes impacting revenue performance and customer outcomes.
    • Support forecasting, performance tracking, and strategic planning initiatives.
    • Compensation Operations & Process Automation
    • Support and enhance sales compensation processes, including data validation, payout calculations, and performance tracking.
    • Automate recurring compensation workflows and reporting processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
    • Partner with Finance and Sales Leadership to ensure compensation data accuracy and alignment with incentive plans.
    • Build validation controls and audit mechanisms within reporting frameworks.
    • Identify opportunities to streamline compensation systems and improve scalability.
    • Process Optimization & Transformation
    • Apply structured problem-solving and first principles thinking to diagnose operational challenges.
    • Design and implement process improvements across commercial operations.
    • Support cross-functional transformation initiatives involving process, policy, and technology changes.
    • Document processes, dependencies, and execution roadmaps to ensure sustainable implementation.
    • Cross-Functional Partnership & Communication
    • Serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders across Commercial, Product, Finance, HR, and Executive teams.
    • Translate complex analytical findings into clear recommendations tailored to both technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Maintain transparent documentation and status updates on strategic initiatives.
    • Contribute insights and best practices in team meetings and operational cadences.

What we will require of you

    • 2–5+ years of experience in Business Operations, Commercial Operations, Revenue Operations, Data Analytics, Strategy & Operations, Corporate Strategy, or Management Consulting (or equivalent analytical experience).
    • Strong SQL skills and experience querying centralized data repositories (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or similar environments).
    • Hands-on experience building dashboards and data visualizations using Power BI (or equivalent BI tools).
    • Experience working with CRM and SaaS systems such as Salesforce.com; familiarity with Totango, Pendo, and Zuora strongly preferred.
    • Experience working with structured datasets within a data warehouse environment.
    • Demonstrated experience validating and reconciling complex datasets with high attention to accuracy.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and drive actionable solutions.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

$93,360 - $116,700 a year
Base pay will depend on the position, individual qualifications, market, and other operational business needs.
