The Senior HR Operations Specialist serves as the operational lead for EMEA while contributing as an active member of a global HR Operations team. This role supports all regional employee lifecycle work, manages incoming requests through the HR inbox, and partners with colleagues in North America and APAC through daily stand-ups. The Specialist helps maintain visibility across the team, coordinates cross-regional tasks, and supports the shift toward more modern, automated processes that reduce manual workload and improve the employee experience.
What you will be doing
- EMEA Ownership within a Global Team
- Act as the lead point of contact for HR operations across EMEA, coordinating lifecycle transactions, regional compliance requirements, and payroll support and inputs.
- Participate in daily global HR Operations stand-ups to align work, share updates, identify risks, and maintain team-wide visibility.
- Collaborate closely with HR Ops colleagues across time zones to support consistent, coordinated processes.
- Elevate regional insights and pain points to the global team so workflows stay aligned, scalable, and connected.
- Manage all employee and manager requests submitted through the HR inbox, ensuring timely responses, clear guidance, and strong service standards.
- Track trends in inbox volume, types of requests, and process pain points to identify opportunities for automation and simplification.
- Support the team’s goal of moving away from manual processes by helping evaluate tools, templates, system changes, or automated workflows that improve efficiency.
- Handle onboarding, job changes, leaves, mobility updates, and offboarding for the EMEA region with accuracy and consistency.
- Coordinate assessments of Right to Work documents and apply for work permits through established procedures.
- Maintain employee files in line with local legal requirements and global data standards.
- Work with Talent Acquisition to ensure smooth transitions from offer acceptance through Day 1.
- Monitor queues and SLAs to ensure employees receive timely support.
- Partner with the EMEA Payroll team to ensure accurate and timely pay for EMEA employees, including Denmark-specific details such as DKK salary changes, tax cards, pension contributions, holiday calculations, and statutory reporting.
- Review inputs each cycle for accuracy and support timely resolution of discrepancies.
- Monitor statutory requirements for working hours, leave reporting, and other operational compliance obligations.
- Ensure HR operational activities comply with Danish labor law and broader EMEA regulations, including GDPR, contractual requirements, and working-time rules.
- Support audits and regulatory checks by preparing accurate documentation and verifying data integrity.
- Track compliance timelines, including probations, contract renewals, and notifications.
- Serve as a regional subject-matter expert for the HRIS (Dayforce preferred), helping resolve issues, provide guidance, and support global configuration improvements.
- Participate in testing and validation of HRIS updates and global configuration changes.
- Identify recurring process issues and propose improvements that simplify work, reduce manual effort, and improve accuracy.
- Coordinate with Total Rewards on compensation data accuracy, salary changes, job architecture alignment, and annual reward cycles.
- Partner with Legal, Finance, IT, and Facilities on issues related to contracts, equipment, access, and compliance.
- Strengthen handoffs across global partners to keep work moving efficiently across time zones.

What we will require of you
- 4+ years of HR Operations experience, with at least 2 years supporting EMEA.
- Knowledge of Denmark HR administration, payroll inputs, and statutory requirements.
- Experience working as part of a global HR Operations and shared-services model.
- Hands-on HRIS experience; Dayforce experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot data errors.
- Ability to manage cross-regional workflows and coordinate across time zones.
