How would you support our success?

The role of Head of International Marketing involves steering the strategic direction and execution of marketing initiatives across the UK and global markets. The successful candidate will balance strategic vision with operational excellence, ensuring the company’s brand thrives in diverse and competitive environments. Leveraging their expertise, they will drive brand visibility, grow market penetration, and maintain Silverfin’s competitive edge in a rapidly evolving market landscape.

Key Impact Areas:

    • Develop and execute a strategic marketing plan for the UK and Platform, that aligns with the broader company strategic goals whilst partnering with product management, customer success  and commercial teams in each region. 
    • Drive demand generation through innovative marketing campaigns and initiatives.
    • Grow the visibility of the Silverfin brand through strategic partnerships,  PR and collaborations with key industry events.
    • Foster internal and external collaborative relationships to drive growth and market penetration.

Your responsibilities

    • Implement a comprehensive, well-aligned marketing execution plan for Platform and UK business units ensuring alignment with the overall business goals of the GM’s
    • Collaborate closely with product management to align the go-to-market strategy with the product roadmap. 
    • Ensure market segmentation and value proposition positioning grows interest and CTAs from targeted prospects.
    • Develop effective launch plans for new product features or enhancements, ensuring they resonate with the target market and drive adoption.
    • Grow brand visibility of Silverfin through strategic partnerships, PR activities, and event participation. 
    • Position Silverfin as a thought leader in the accounting software ecosystem and increase market awareness.
    • Oversee the planning and execution of third-party events, ensuring maximum ROI.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with strategic partners to expand market reach.
    • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture, ensuring that team members have the resources and guidance needed to achieve their targets.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including sales, customer success, and product teams, to ensure cohesive alignment and support for marketing initiatives.
    • Ensure tools and marketing metrics are aligned to ensure accountability for plans and results and reflective analysis on what's working and not. Support a test and learn approach and/or a ROI focus when appropriate.
    • Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to refine marketing strategies.

What would success look like?

    • Awareness and buy-in across BUs of the value that marketing delivers to strategy and results, ensuring a “lead and support” approach is trusted and relied upon to deliver.
    • Successful demand generation campaigns that meet or exceed lead acquisition targets, and contribute directly to the sales pipeline and meet revenue and EBITDA expectations.
    • A cost-effective event marketing strategy that increases brand visibility and positions Silverfin as a thought leader within the accounting software ecosystem.
    • Increased market share through targeted campaigns, strategic partnerships, and effective PR activities that grow Silverfin’s market reputation and reach.
    • Effective management and development of the Senior Marketing Executive 
    • Strong relationships with strategic partners on  joint marketing initiatives that have expanded Silverfin’s reach and influence in the market.
    • A clear and powerful reporting framework that provides regular updates on key metrics and performance indicators to the VP of Marketing & GM’s of BU’s.

What will support your success?

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field; MBA preferred.
    • Extensive experience in marketing, with a focus on go-to-market strategies and demand generation.
    • Proven track record in managing marketing campaigns, third-party events, and channel marketing.
    • Experience in fintech or B2B SaaS marketing is a requirement 
    • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute marketing strategies that align with overall business objectives
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in marketing automation tools and CRM systems.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
    • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
    • Experience in managing marketing efforts across multiple countries and regions.
    • Proactive and results-oriented mindset.
    • Team-oriented, with a focus on fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture.
    • Persistent and resilient in pursuing objectives.
