SEB’s division Large Corporates and Financial Institutions (LC&FI) offers talented students an exciting opportunity to work with banking and finance for a few intense summer months. If you have the ambition, we will support you in growing your potential at SEB this summer!
The internship in short
Your internship starts off with an introduction week where you get to know SEB as an employer but also LC&FI as a division. During the introduction you will meet representatives from the division and participate in learning and networking activities. We end the internship with a closing day where we catch up and share about your experience. As an intern, you are recruited to a specific job role where you will be involved in daily business activities and have a great opportunity to explore the environment of banking. About the position
Commodities is at the center of everything we do at this globe. We need metals to manufacture the future of zero-emission cars and electricity to power them. We need freight to transport finished goods, and agricultural products to meet the growing population at this planet.
The Commodities Sales team is responsible for helping clients manage their financial risks relating to commodities, such as the costs of materials in production or securing the sales price of a finished product. We focus on risks and hedging strategies, as well as means to generate business from idea driven sales towards our Swedish and international corporate clients.
We are looking for a person who is eager to learn the sales process and can contribute with proactiveness, advisory and quantitative skills. You will from the start be involved in all aspects of the business. This includes trading on behalf of the clients, building business cases and support in the process of producing the right solutions for each client. You will have a good opportunity to challenge yourself in the sales and advisory role by leveraging on your current knowledge, build new relationships and competence, and influence your future career!
Commodities Sales consists of a group of full-time sales representatives in Stockholm/Sweden, and cross-product sales representatives at the international SEB sites. We are a commodity family and strongly believe in cross-collaboration between team-members, sites, and products.
Globally, SEBs Commodity organization consists of approximately 30 people within the wider FICC Markets department, selling Fixed Income, Currency, and Commodity products to Swedish and International clients. FICC Markets is one of the largest business areas within SEB’s LC&FI division and our main purpose is to provide access to the financial markets for the division’s clients. Who are you?
We are looking for an outgoing and highly motivated person with a proactive mindset and genuine interest in financial markets and the sales role. We believe it will be in your favor to have a strong analytical skill-set, focused way of working, enjoy collaboration and a fast-paced working environment. A “can-do” attitude is a must!
You have an ongoing university degree, and an inner drive to learn and excel in one of finance’s most interesting business areas. The position requires that you have excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Swedish and English.
