We are now hiring to the Equity Capital Markets (ECM) team in Stockholm, Kungsträdgårdsgatan 8. SEB has the leading ECM franchise in the Nordic region, originating and executing transactions for our corporate and financial clients across our Home Markets in Europe and the US. The ECM acts as the link between the bank’s corporate clients and our institutional investor clients, both directly and through our sales force, in a wide range of transactions such as IPOs, accelerated placements, rights issues and private placements.
About the job
As an analyst in the ECM team, you will work together with our team of experienced ECM professionals, based in Stockholm, Oslo, Helsinki, Copenhagen and London. You will be a key member who will support the team in inter alia; analysis of the equity markets, data analysis and drafting presentations for our origination efforts as well as being part of execution of ECM transactions. You will be handed responsibility at an early stage and be able to participate, alongside our senior members, when meeting our corporate and institutional investor clients. We offer a steep learning curve, building experience and capabilities around all ECM products.
As a product specialist, you will have exposure to a variety of sectors and companies of all sizes across the spectrum. A few years down the line our ambition is to support you in becoming a well-rounded ECM banker with responsibility for origination and execution. You will also be an integral part of ECM collaboration with the rest of the bank including all areas within the investment banking department e.g., Corporate Finance, Equity Research and Equity Sales & Trading as well as DCM, Loan Origination and Private Banking.
Who are you?
We believe that you have 0-2 years of work experience and a university degree in an area with a strong numerical element. You have an analytical mindset and strong communications skills, both verbal and written, with focus on accuracy. You should be genuinely interested in financial markets and be able to handle several projects simultaneously. Periodically intense workloads will require a degree of adaptability. You are an outgoing person focused on contributing to the team as well as taking responsibility for your own projects and able to develop trusted relationships.
