Group Compliance is a control function within the SEB Group. Our main duty is to support and control the first line organisation to act in a proactive manner with long‑term sustainable decisions from a local and global perspective. Group Compliance is global and independent from the first line organisation, reporting to the CEO and the Board.
About the role:
- Your main duties in this role focus on engagement with regulators and supervisory expectations. Including supporting communication with ECB, national FSAs, and other authorities. Coordinating responses to regulatory queries, inspections, and follow-ups. Tracking supervisory measures (e.g., via IMAS) and ensure timely responses
- As well as to governance and advisory, advising internal stakeholders on regulatory expectations and supervisory trends, supporting development and/or update of internal policies and instructions, ensuring consistent interpretation of regulatory requirements across Baltics
To thrive in this role, we believe you have:
- Solid background in EU banking and financial services regulatory framework
- Ability to think at a strategic level and understand business strategy
- Experience working with requirements in the investment services, payments, AML/CFT/Sanctions is an advantage
- At least 3 years of experience in the field of risk management, finance, or other related field in the financial institution or financial regulator
- Project management skills and ability to oversee complex regulatory projects. Ability to drive the process and process changes. Strong stakeholder management skills
- Excellent communication skills, ability to work and cooperate in an international environment
- Excellent English language skills (written and oral)
- Academic degree in law, finance, economics or equivalent
