SEB is an established and experienced provider of Depositary Services across regulated jurisdictions including Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Norway, and Luxembourg. As a Depositary we have a regulatory duty to protect the Investors in Regulated Investment Funds. In SEB our mission is to provide this Investor protection with highest expertise, experience, and excellence. We offer Depositary Services under the AIFMD and UCITS regulation and service a wide range of investment fund types covering both traditional assets and alternative investments.
We are experiencing growth, and our Depositary Services in Denmark is key in our efforts to continue our exciting journey. We are therefore expanding the team in Copenhagen. We are looking for a new colleague to our team, who wants to work in this niche within the Financial Sector.
The Depositary Manager Role
As a Depositary Manager you will help exercising our depositary control duties, perform regulatory analysis, perform risk assessments, and engage in and manage projects. Your responsibilities will be broad ranging and at the same time requiring your analytical and specialized focus. In this role you will build knowledge of fund management companies, market infrastructure, investment strategies, fund structures, regulatory analysis, AIFMD & UCITS regulation and asset types covering both financial instruments and alternative investments.

You will be positioned to a broad range of responsibilities:
Ensure that our depositary control plan is brought to completion timely and with excellence
 Ensure all your analysis, investigations and findings are accurately documented
 Eensure activity related to fund cycle management is executed timely and in line with regulation
 Perform and complete due diligences of the Fund Managers
 Participate in client meetings
Keep yourself up to date with the AIFMD, UCITS and related regulation
 Help enforce our strong governance model
Drive projects related to continuous development of quality and operational excellence
 Ensure we meet the requests of our internal stakeholders as Audit, Compliance and Risk
 Ensure close collaboration with our colleagues in Nordics and Baltics
Who we are looking for.
You are someone who can keep an excellent overview, with great structure and time management skills. You should both enjoy and master multitasking and at the same time have great analytical ability to deep dive, investigate and do research. You should enjoy working in the sphere of finance and regulation. You should be a team player and always ensure the team meets its regulatory duties.
More specifically we require the following;
▪  Master’s degree in economics, finance, business management or business law
▪  Experience from financial market, consultancy, law or fund industry
▪  Knowledge of financial markets and financial instruments
▪  It is an advantage if you have knowledge of regulatory requirements in UCITS V, AIFMD etc.
▪  Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
▪  Fluent in Danish and English
▪  Experienced user of Excel
