About the position
SEB Asset Management is establishing a new international sales hub in Luxembourg as part of its long-term European growth strategy. We are now looking for a senior Client Executive to join us as one of the first hires in this build-out phase. In this pivotal role you will help shape our international sales presence across the DACH and Benelux regions, with plans to grow the team over time.
This is a unique opportunity to become a vital part of a group working with a diverse range of institutional clients beyond SEB’s home markets. We are in search of an experienced sales professional with an established distribution network and a strong understanding of asset management who is ready to take on a high impact, client-facing position.
As part of SEB Asset Management’s international sales team in Luxembourg, you will be responsible for developing and expanding relationships with key fund distributors. You will represent SEB Asset Management’s broad investment capabilities across liquid and alternative strategies, working closely with internal stakeholders to deliver tailored client solutions.
You will join a small, senior team focused on international expansion, where individual contribution, ownership, and collaboration are essential.
In this role your key responsibilities can be summarized as follows:
· Leverage your existing network to drive distribution of SEB Asset Management’s investment capabilities across the DACH region.
· Build and maintain long-term relationships with distributors and institutional investors, including pension funds, insurers, banks, wealth managers, and asset managers.
· Develop a deep understanding of client investment needs, portfolio construction, and decision-making processes.
· Lead and support client onboarding, contract negotiations, and commercial discussions.
· Provide valuable support in crafting responses to RFPs and DDQ’s, showcasing SEB Asset Management’s strengths and capabilities.
· Act as a trusted partner to clients through regular dialogue, reporting, and market updates, including developments in sustainable investing.
· Shape our asset management products to match the evolving needs and requests of our clients.
The role is based in Luxembourg, however given the international nature of the client base, regular travel will be required.
What we expect
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
· Established institutional investor network in the DACH region.
· At least 10 years of experience within asset management and fund distribution.
· Solid understanding of liquid and/or alternative investment strategies.
· Strong presentation and communication skills; fluency in English and German is required, additional European languages are a significant advantage.
· A commercial mindset, strong self‑motivation, and the ability to work independently within a lean, experienced team environment.
