Financial Controller
SEB in Denmark is looking for a new colleague with well-developed financial and collaborative skills who will help the Finance team report and present accurate and timely financial information to internal and external stakeholders.
What you can expect
Today all financial production for SEB’s branch in Denmark is offshored to SEB’s Finance Operating Centres in Riga and Vilnius, and Group Finance in Denmark is a unit of 4 employees working with Financial Controlling, Business Controlling, Regulatory Reporting and Tax. At SEB, you as Financial Controller will be part of a truly international environment, collaborating with colleagues across all the geographies where SEB is present.
This role offers a unique opportunity to gain broad exposure across financial controlling, regulatory reporting and business performance in a leading Nordic bank. You will analyse and drive P&L, Balance sheet and other financial steering topics and needs, cross local functions and global finance units. With increasing regulatory demands in the banking industry, you need to have understanding of IFRS and local regulatory demands and together with the global Finance organisation implement changes to the reporting.
In the role you will report to the CFO in SEB Denmark.
What we are looking for
We believe you have minimum 2-4 years of relevant working experience. You have experience from financial steering and P&L & Balance sheet controlling and you have a strong track record of problem solving. You are curious, proactive and have an open mindset, which will be key to succeeding and enjoying this role.
We imagine that you have a degree in Business Administration, Accounting or equivalent and preferably experience from the financial industry or an auditing firm. It’s an advantage if you have data management experience as well as experience from driving project initiatives.
You will have the ability to effectively interact and build trust in all levels in our organization globally. You are strong in communication and stakeholder management.
You are also strong in networking and relationship building and you have an ability to work with business users and regulators, understand their needs and translate those needs to functional requirements. Experience of regulatory reporting and financial steering is considered an advantage.
Fluency in English, both oral and written, is mandatory.
