Regulatory Reporting has been an important part of the financial services industry during the last 10 years, and, to adapt to all market changes, SEB has taken a proactive approach of building an expert and skillful IT and requirements team in Riga and Stockholm.

We are looking for Database & Application Engineer to add to our growing Trading Regulatory Reporting Team in Riga. The team already consists of 25 skilled and dedicated persons who are learning from our experts based in Stockholm, Sweden to bring the knowledge and responsibility to Riga. The Database & Application Engineer will aspire to play a key part of our DevOps transformation and will be committed to develop the regulatory IT solutions for SEB while working in an international and dynamic environment with friendly and supportive colleagues.

As a Database & Application Engineer you will be responsible for:

    • Providing technical support for end users;
    • Maintaining the existing environment of databases, applications including IT security;
    • Troubleshoot infrastructure related incidents;
    • Participate in on-call activities;
    • Work off hours to perform maintenance and release activities;
    • Optimizing and enhancing system performance;
    • Reporting design and implementation;
    • Have close collaboration with other teams in the tribe.

We believe that you have technical experience and knowledge in:

    • Windows Server administration: Windows Services, MMC, AD users and groups, IIS, Windows Scheduler, PowerShell;
    • IT service management and incident handling software;
    • Basic networking knowledge;
    • Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions;
    • Microsoft SQL: T-SQL basics, SQL server agent, SQL server admin;

    • Additionally, for this position you need to be fluent in English.

We will consider as an advantage:

    • Experience in solution monitoring and it‘s development;
    • Experience with ETL tools such as SSIS;
    • GCP Migration;
    • Splunk or similar tools;
    • C# and .NET;
    • Experience in DevOps.

€2,600 - €3,900 a month
Monthly salary range indicated for this position is before tax deduction. The offer for final candidate* will depend on experience and competences of the candidate for the required job.
