As a Legal Counsel you will:

    • Provide advice on procurement, data privacy, corporate governance, and other issues related to the activities of Global Services.
    • Ensure the efficient execution of the procurement process and compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
    • Draft and update Global Services policies, instructions and guidelines in line with SEB Group policies and local law legal requirements.
    • Draft and review third-party agreements.
    • Write inquires for government agencies, legal opinions and other legal documents that require research of statutes, regulations, or court decisions in different areas of law related to the activities of Global Services.
    • Work closely with the Head of Global Services and other business and management stakeholders to evaluate legal impact of decisions, advising and consulting within own expertise area to maximize opportunities while minimizing risk.
    • Follow regulatory developments and communicate them to the organization.
    • Participate in business projects and discussions providing legal expertise and advise.
    • Establish and maintain relationship with external legal advisors and government agencies.
    • Provide training and activities within own areas of expertise to managers and staff.
    • Areas of responsibility will be Vilnius and Riga branches of Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB. Working place will be in Vilnius.

To thrive in this role, we believe you have:

    • -          Academic degree in law from a university (preferably Master of Law).
    • -          3-5 years of hands-on legal work experience in a law firm or as an in-house legal counsel.
    • -          Experience in financial sector will be considered as an advantage.
    • -          Ability to coordinate work and communicate with various stakeholders.
    • -          Experience working with Data Privacy and/or Regulatory Compliance topics would an advantage.
    • -          Fluent in Lithuanian and English, both oral and written.

€3,200 - €4,800 a month
The above indicated range is the monthly salary range for this position before tax deduction.
The final offer will depend on the experience and competencies of the selected candidate. The overall remuneration package consists of the salary together with other benefits.
