Group Compliance supports SEB’s business being conducted in an ethical, sustainable and compliant way for the benefit of SEB’s customers, shareholders and the society. We are now looking for a Compliance Officer to join the Compliance team for Group Staff & Support Functions, with main focus on supporting Group Technology.

The Staff & Support Functions Compliance team was established in 2023 with the aim of further enhancing the control framework related to emerging risks such as sustainability, third party and cybersecurity and ensuring sufficient support to and focus on SEB’s Staff and Support functions themselves, including Group Technology, Group and Business Services, Sustainable Banking, Financial Crime Prevention and Group HR.

About the role:
As a Compliance Officer you will be responsible for compliance activities in Group Technology. You will provide expert advisory services on compliance issues and also assess and control compliance risks. You will also participate in the Strategic Initiatives New Product Approval Process which focusses on new products, systems and processes affecting SEB and/or SEB Group more broadly.

The Compliance Officer role means daily contacts with different parts of the organisation, including members of senior management, as well as close collaboration with other colleagues within Group Compliance and, where needed, interaction with supervisory authorities.

You will report to the Head of Compliance for Group Staff and Support functions.
 
To thrive in this role, we believe you have:
· An academic degree from a university or a business school. A law degree is preferred but not a necessity if you have a thorough interest in, and knowledge of, the regulatory landscape around financial services;
· At least 5 years’ experience from working in the financial industry or related area in a capacity that has provided you with insights to relevant regulations and requirements;
· Preferably earlier worked with topics related to ICT and the upcoming EU Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA);
· An understanding of the key rules and regulations related to governance, third party arrangements and personal data processing;
· An interest in technical developments affecting the financial industry and regulatory initiatives related thereto;
· Fluency in English and Swedish.
 
As a person you are positive, intellectually curious, effective and solution-oriented with good communication skills and high integrity. To be successful in this position you also need to be able to manage a working landscape with dynamically shifting priorities, timelines and demands.
