Group Risk Riga is part of the SEB Group Risk. Our department is responsible for a wide scope of risk related processes for different entities within the SEB Group. The main responsibility for Group Risk is to identify, measure, monitor and analyze SEB’s risks.
We are currently looking for a Quantitative Analyst to join our Counterparty Risk Reporting and Control team.
About the role:
In this role, you will be responsible for participating in the daily and monthly counterparty risk activities for SEB Group. You will identify, analyze, develop and implement improvements in processes and calculations, ensuring compliance with external regulations and internal SEB policies. Additionally, you will monitor and communicate changes and trends in counterparty risk exposure to a diverse group of professionals across SEB Group.
Your work will involve data-driven and technical development in close collaboration with the Modelling and Technology departments and other stakeholders. You will also actively engage in risk, stress testing, and data modeling activities. Furthermore, you will handle ad-hoc reporting for risk analysis and other purposes as needed.

To thrive in this role, we believe you have:
- Work experience is similar position for several years;
- University degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, IT or similar;
- Good understanding of financial instruments and banking products;
- Experience working with databases or programming (SQL, Python or similar);
- Strong analytical, communication and collaboration skills;
- Proactive, continuous improvement-oriented attitude and ability to work independently;
- Fluency in English. Work execution is related to foreign countries;
- Knowledge in financial risk and financial instrument modelling fundamentals;
- Knowledge of SIMM/SACCR/BA-CVA or any other Risk methodology is considered as an advantage.

€2,500 - €3,700 a month
Monthly salary range indicated for this position is before tax deduction. The offer for final candidate* will depend on experience and competences of the candidate for the required job. The overall remuneration package consists of the salary together with other benefits.
