Every banking product has a lifecycle and each lifecycle step must be reflected correctly in accounting. In our team, Finance Developers define and implement how products are accounted in SEB Baltic systems, ensuring that business events become correct, auditable financial postings in the General Ledger (GL).
 
We are looking for a Finance Developer who enjoys connecting the dots between product events, accounting rules, and data flows — and turning that into working reporting solutions in an Agile delivery team.

What you will be doing:

    • Work across teams to enable product launches: collaborate with stakeholders and other delivery teams so that new products can be introduced with correct accounting and reporting outcomes.
    • Define product accounting rules: translate product lifecycle events into accounting events and posting logic (what gets posted, when, and how).
    • Define data requirements into GL: specify and validate what data must arrive from source systems into the GL (structure, content, quality, reconciliation points).
    • Develop and evolve GL foundations in SEB Baltics: contribute to GL related solutions and improvements, including stability, quality, and maintainability.
    • Support and operate what we build: participate in incident impact assessment, root cause analysis, emergency change testing, and continuous improvements to reduce future maintenance load.
    • Analyse, design, and validate solutions: turn stakeholder user stories into detailed requirements and solution designs; participate in testing and validation within the delivery team.
    • Work in an Agile way: pull prioritized work from the backlog, contribute to sprint goals, and continuously improve how we deliver value.

Who we are looking for:

    • Background in finance, accounting, risk, or reporting
    • Experience working with financial systems, data, or reporting solutions
    • Experience with General Ledger, internal accounting, or regulatory reporting
    • Experience in banking or financial services
    • Good analytical skills and ability to understand complex processes and data flows
    • Experience working in Agile / Scrum teams
    • Ability to communicate clearly with both business and IT stakeholders
    • Proactive mindset and ownership of delivered solutions

€2,700 - €3,900 a month
before tax deduction, the final offer will depend on the experience and competencies of the selected candidate. Overall remuneration package consists of the salary together with other benefits.
