About the role:
We are seeking an Accountant for our Countries accounting II Unit. Our unit is responsible for several branches of the bank and different subsidiaries. You will play a key role for SEB AB Vilnius and Riga branches accounting. You will work closely with multiple levels within Global Finance, which represents a great opportunity to gain experience in many aspects of a finance department in a rapidly growing digital organisation.

As a Senior accountant you will be responsible for:

    • Flawless execution of Records-to-Report transactional activities
    • Ensure period-end closing procedures and preparation of the financial reporting
    • Perform P/L and BS controls, Internal Controls for Financial Reporting (ICFR) and KPI reporting
    • Drive the resolution of more complex queries raised by employees, managers, finance partners & other internal and external stakeholders
    • Prepare and report VAT, Corporate income tax, other applicable tax, and statistical reporting
    • Ensure compliance with local (Lithuanian) laws and regulations
    • Solving various ad-hoc questions related to different areas and contribution during Audit process
    • Stakeholder management – participation in the meetings, escalation and solution of issues, alignment of expectations and cooperation
    • Close collaboration with all the involved parties (projects, cross teams, etc.) and helping them to follow the deadlines and solve more complex issues
    • Assist and train employees in team in completing their work, step in a as back up person when necessary. Act as mentor for junior team members and assist in onboarding process
    • Escalate issues and concerns to Unit manager and propose remediating actions
    • Work with undefined situations and secure accurate accounting processes 

Who we are looking for:

    • Plus 3 years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
    • Degree in Finance/Accounting
    • Experience in working with IFRS
    • Experience working with Lithuanian laws and regulations
    • Proficiency in English
    • Strong interpersonal skills and be friendly, approachable, and motivated with a strong work ethic and high degree of integrity
    • Mature attitude towards challenges, problem solving and creative in terms of improving ways of working
    • Ability to work in team and independently
    • Ability to work under the time pressure/ KPI and SLA
    • Proactive and “can do” mindset

Monthly salary range for this position: 2400 – 3600 EUR (before tax deduction). The final offer will depend on the experience and competencies of the selected candidate. Overall remuneration package consists of the salary together with other benefits.
