The Linux Engineer plays a role in managing and maintaining Linux-based systems within an organization. They are responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and optimal performance of Linux servers and workstations. The Linux Administrator collaborates with the IT team to handle Linux-based infrastructure, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical support to users. This role requires a strong understanding of Linux operating systems, networking, and scripting languages.
About the role:
- Strong knowledge of Linux operating system Red Hat.
- Proficient in Linux command-line interface (CLI) and shell scripting.
- Experience with virtualization technologies, such as VMware.
- Familiarity with networking concepts, protocols, and services, including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and VPN.
- Knowledge of storage technologies, such as RAID, SAN, and NAS.
- Understanding of security best practices and experience in implementing security measures on Linux systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to quickly identify and resolve technical issues.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication skills to effectively communicate technical concepts and solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
To thrive in this role, we believe you have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven work experience as a Linux Engineer or a similar role.
- Industry certification, such as Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of server hardware and experience in server management.
- Experience with configuration management tools, such as Ansible or Puppet, is a plus.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms, such as AWS or GCP, is advantageous.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like Nagios or Zabbix is a plus.
- Ability to adapt to new technologies and stay updated with industry trends and advancements in Linux administration.

€2,700 - €4,100 a month
(before tax deduction). The final offer will depend on the experience and competencies of the selected candidate. Overall remuneration package consists of the salary together with other benefits.
