The internship in short 

The programme kicks off with an engaging Introduction Week, where you’ll get to know SEB, meet professionals across the CIB division, get to know other interns and start building your network. During the introduction you will participate in learning and networking activities. We wrap up the experience with a Closing Day to reflect on, share, and celebrate your internship journey. 
As an intern, you are recruited to a specific job role where you will be involved in daily business activities and have a great opportunity to explore the environment of banking. You will be guided by at least one tutor during your internship.

Fixed Income Business and Product Development Team

The Fixed Income Business & Product Development Team focuses on driving business growth, innovation, and operational excellence across SEB's Fixed Income franchise.

The team works closely with Trading, Sales, Technology, and Operations to develop and enhance electronic trading, market data, primary markets, and related fixed income products. It is responsible for defining product strategy, leading change initiatives, improving transparency across the value chain, and ensuring efficient delivery of business capabilities.

The team also leverages data, automation, and AI-driven solutions to streamline processes, improve client satisfaction, and increase profitability. Through strong cross-functional collaboration, the team helps translate business needs into scalable solutions that support SEB's Fixed Income business objectives.

What You Will Do 

Data Analytics: Develop reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using Excel, Python, SQL, (and good to have but not mandatory with Tableau, BI tools and VBA).

Project Work: Communicate with trading desk and sales desk members to understand business requirements and turn them into business case for reporting or dashboard developments

Team Collaboration: Support Business Analysts and Project Manager with tasks such as data analysis, issue investigation

Who Are You? 

We are looking for an ambitious and focused individual with a genuine interest in financial markets and technology. You are creative, proactive, and a team player. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential. Experience with data analysis and presentation is a plus. 

Qualifications 

• Currently pursuing a master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Industrial Economics, Engineering or a related field.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and clients.

• A proactive mindset with the ability to take initiative and drive projects forward.

• Experience with data analysis and visualization tools such as SQL, Python, etc.
