About the role:
Financial Crime Prevention (FCP) function further accelerates SEB’s deployment of advanced Financial Crime prevention capabilities to continuously meet regulatory expectations and to become a market leader in fighting financial crime.
We create value by developing sanctions risk management capabilities that enable SEB Group to identify and mitigate sanctions risks efficiently and effectively, sustainably, and in the long term.
You will be part of the Sanctions Advisory Team within the Financial Crime Prevention (FCP) Organization.
The team is responsible for implementation of financial sanctions compliance framework across SEB, providing subject matter expert advice in relation to financial sanctions across the group and ensuring compliance with all applicable financial sanctions regimes. The team provides expertise on financial sanctions matters to our stakeholders in different geographies and divisions.
 
As Financial Sanctions Officer, you will be responsible for:
-          Interpretation of sanctions regimes, including but not limited to European Union, United Nations, United States (OFAC), United Kingdom (OFSI). Investigation of the potential applicability of financial sanctions to SEB Group products, customers and activities.
-          Provision of subject matter expertise and guidance to internal stakeholders.
-          Regulatory monitoring to pro-actively help SEB address regulatory changes and challenges.
-          Development and delivery of role-based training on financial sanctions and financial sanctions circumvention to stakeholders.
-          Implementing and overseeing the sanctions compliance framework across SEB.

To thrive in this role, we believe you have:

    • Financial Sanctions experience is a pre-requisite
    • Strong working knowledge of EU, UN, US and UK sanctions regimes and its implementation
    • Higher Education (bachelor’s degree of higher)
    • Professional proficiency level of spoken and written English
    • Analytic mindset with the ability to process large amount of information
    • Communication skills to build co-operative relationships at different levels of organization
    • Knowledge of financial products and payment systems is preferable
    • Proactive approach to identify opportunities to enhance and develop existing processes.

€2,500 - €3,700 a month
Monthly salary range indicated for this position is before tax deduction. The offer for final candidate* will depend on experience and competences of the candidate for the required job. The overall remuneration package consists of the salary together with other benefits.
