About the role
In this role, you will be part of the team responsible for managing and developing SEB’s Account & Payments data. You will take an active role in shaping how data is modelled, governed, and maintained — ensuring high data quality and compliance across our products and systems.
You’ll work closely with data owners, stewards, architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure that our data is structured, understood, and usable for everything from regulatory reporting to customer insights and product innovation.
Our data and analytics solutions are built on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Key responsibilities
- Take ownership of the Account & Payments data domain and drive initiatives related to data modelling, governance, and quality.
- Define, document, and maintain conceptual and logical data models that describe our financial products and processes, using EA Sparx.
- Support implementation of data management practices, including metadata management, business glossaries, and data lineage.
- Coordinate across teams to ensure alignment between business, data, and technical perspectives.
- Drive continuous improvement of our data governance and data quality processes in collaboration with the central data office.
- Contribute to SEB’s data strategy by identifying opportunities to improve data reusability, consistency, and compliance.
- Communicate and translate complex data concepts to business stakeholders in a clear and engaging way.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for a senior professional with strong experience in data management within banking or financial services. You enjoy both coordinating across stakeholders and diving deep into the details when needed.
You may have held roles such as Data Management Officer, Data Steward, Information Modeler, Data Owner, or Information Architect — what matters most is your broad understanding of data management and your ability to turn knowledge into action.
Your background and skills:
- 5–8 years of experience within data management, preferably in the banking sector.
- Solid understanding of data modelling (conceptual, logical), data governance, and data quality management.
- Experience working with information models, metadata, or business glossaries.
- Familiarity with modelling tools and cloud-based data platforms such as GCP.
- Ability to navigate regulatory and compliance aspects related to data.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with excellent communication abilities.
- Fluent in English; Swedish is a plus.
