About the role:

As Head of Electronic Execution, you will be a senior, client-facing leader responsible for our Stockholm desk. You will own the desk’s strategy, client franchise, income, and costs. This includes managing a team of traders, representing the desk to institutional clients, and collaborating with sales, risk, compliance, and technology to drive business growth. You will define and execute our growth strategy, ensure regulatory adherence, and partner on client strategy.

The responsibilities will include:

• Own the strategy and commercial direction of the electronic execution business in Stockholm, with full income and cost responsibility for the desk
• Define and drive a clear growth strategy for the desk, ensuring the plan is in place to deliver on ambitions for client income and franchise expansion
• Manage, mentor, and develop the desk's traders, setting priorities and reviewing performance
• Build and maintain senior relationships with Nordic and International institutional clients, including hedge funds and asset managers
• Drive the desk's algo and DMA offering in partnership with technology and quant teams, prioritizing enhancements based on client needs and market developments
• Ensure the desk operates within risk limits and regulatory requirements, and represent the desk in governance and control discussions
• Track evolving market structure and regulation (e.g. MiFID II/MiFIR, SSR, best execution requirements) and adapt the desk's approach accordingly
• Partner with sales and relationship management on client strategy, pitches, and service reviews
• Report on desk performance, risks, and initiatives to senior management

To thrive in this role, we believe you have:

• Significant experience in electronic execution or algorithmic trading, with a track record of client-facing seniority
• Prior people management experience, ideally leading a trading or execution team
• Deep knowledge of market microstructure, algo strategies, and execution technology
• Strong commercial instinct, with experience building or growing a client franchise
• Comfortable engaging with risk, compliance, and technology stakeholders on desk governance
• Excellent communication skills, with the gravitas to represent the desk at senior client and internal forums
• Fluent in English; Swedish is a plus but not required
• Relevant licenses (e.g. SwedSec) or willingness to obtain them
