What will you be doing? 

In this role you will be focusing on our custody transformation program and play a pivotal role in driving and guiding our strategic transformation from an end-to-end perspective. The custody transformation program is one of SEB’s key initiatives for developing our savings and investments offering. By modernising our custody infrastructure, we are building a modern next generation custody platform. 

You will actively guide and contribute to this ongoing large-scale digital transformation and help build completely new capabilities to position SEB as an industry leader within the wealth and asset management area (i.e. investments and trading in stocks, funds and other financial instruments). You will collaborate extensively with technology and architecture stakeholders across the organization, as well as business and business services representatives. 

Your responsibility will be to: 

• Shape and drive SEB’s architecture transformation agenda for the wealth and asset management area with focus on the custody transformation program. A key to success is close collaboration with other parts of SEB regarding e.g. front-end applications, business layers, ledgers, authorization, cloud, API, AI and data management.  

• Drive change, transformations and modernizations towards our target architecture. 

• Propose and implement future-ready, modern, secure and stable solutions which attract and service our clients and gain their trust. 

• Interact with other architects in relevant parts of SEB to be able to align and materialize your architecture roadmaps. You will also be part of the SEB architect community and both the programs and Wealth Asset Management architecture design authorities.  

• Build, develop, and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to truly understand needs, anchor your ideas and shape sustainable solutions.  

• Finally, you will be part of a team of solution architects focusing on the Wealth and Asset Management area. The team is led by the domain architect for the area that you will interact closely with. 

Who are you? 

• Well-anchored in Tech, with architecture experience across different technical platforms and ensures plans are grounded in an understanding of current technologies, client requirements, and emerging opportunities. 

• At least 5 years professional experience as a Solution Architect.  

• End-to-end understanding of wealth, savings, trading and investment services, processes and client needs from a digitalization perspective. 

• Proven track record of successful architecture-driven changes in a highly complex environment. 

• Outstanding relationship-building and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster trust among stakeholders and partners. Maintains a strong commitment to delivering tangible solutions through a focused, goal-driven approach.  

• Advanced oral and written communication abilities, adept at articulating concepts, visualizing architectural roadmaps, and engaging effectively with stakeholders across Business, Business Services, and Tech. 

• Employs a pragmatic yet creative mindset to develop innovative and sustainable solutions for complex business challenges. 

• Takes personal responsibility for achieving and delivering impactful, high-value outcomes. 

It’s a strong plus if you have 

• Experience from being the Lead Solution Architect for a larger transformation. 

• Hands-on experience driving modernization from legacy platforms to modern cloud solutions. 

• Designing AI components in solutions.
