We are now seeking a portfolio manager to join our team. The person will manage portfolios within our funds and mandates. A special focus will be on asset allocation and portfolio construction, along with close interaction with institutional clients in Finland.

SEB xAsset Investment team is a unit within SEB Asset Management and manages global balanced portfolios. Our investment philosophy is active risk taking with largely a top-down process from macro and themes to markets and portfolio construction. The team is also responsible for the SEB House View allocation research, supporting asset allocation overall in the bank.
About the role
You will be part of a highly experienced and dedicated investment team and be co-responsible for the risk/performance within our funds/mandates. Together with the team, you will develop our investment process to generate competitive performance and increase sales for our products. A special focus will be on the asset allocation process and its implication for portfolio risk and portfolio construction. We actively use quantitative methods in combination with fundamental research, and you will be part of developing our cross-site research platform. This position is well suited for an experienced investment professional who wishes to take on broader responsibility within our multi‑asset platform.
To thrive in this role, we believe you have
• Competence and experience in portfolio management within multi-asset portfolios, including competence across all major asset classes
• Macro skills and experience from working with macro research
• Experience in evaluating and analyzing fund managers and investment strategies
• Experience in using derivatives in portfolio management
• Strong communication skills and fluent in Finnish and English
• You have an academic background at minimum a master’s level in a relevant field such as finance, economics, or engineering, complemented by further studies in finance or economics.
