As a DevOps Engineer, you will collaborate with software developers, product managers, and other IT staff members to manage our content platforms. You will be instrumental in analyzing, planning, building and automating the processes within our software development lifecycle, from coding and deployment to maintenance and updates.

Location: This is a fully remote position. We are currently able to employ individuals in Albania, Brazil, Bulgaria, Finland, France, Germany, Mexico, Netherlands, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, South Africa, Spain, and the United Kingdom.

Your responsibilities

    • Actively participate in the improvement and maintenance of application-level security with our Web Application Firewall (WAF)
    • Provide efficient solutions for everyday problems, contributing to an environment of continuous improvement and innovation
    • Ensure the functionality of our Content Delivery Network (CDN) cache policy
    • Monitor our infrastructure using visualization tools, identifying incidents, and proposing effective solutions
    • Assist in optimizing slow and manual processes, working towards increased efficiency
    • Improve and maintain the pipelines of current workflows, enhancing automation where possible
    • Work on automating tasks through microservices, contributing to a scalable and agile infrastructure
    • Support the DevOps and IT team in various daily challenges to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs)

Your mindset and experience

    • You have at least 2 years of experience in a similar role
    • Familiarity with scripting languages JavaScript, Python and Ruby
    • Strong navigation skills in Cloud environments, with experience in GCP preferred
    • Knowledge of working with APIs and integrating them into systems
    • Experience with any Content Delivery Network (CDN) with familiarity in Fastly and/or Varnish being a plus
    • Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) integrations, with familiarity in GitHub Actions and/or CircleCI preferred
    • Familiarity with Terraform for IaC
    • Understanding of the lifecycle of HTTP requests, certificates, caching mechanisms, and other relevant aspects of HTTP request handling
    • Working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases
    • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
