1st shift Floor Assembler
Summary/Objective
The Floor Assembler I performs repetitive bench or assembly-line operations to mass-produce mechanical and/or electrical products.
Essential Functions
- Hand and power tools are used to assemble parts according to product specifications. Assemble parts, components, or units in a specified relationship to each other.
- Identify units that fail tests and repair as necessary. Package assemblies as required.
- Run machines, including arbor presses and riveting machines, to perform force fitting or fastening operations on the assembly line.
- Achieve production efficiency and quality standards. Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Ability to lift, stand, sit, squat, and reach over your head.
- Rotate workstations according to business and production needs. Adhere to work schedules.
- Ability to work 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m., Monday-Friday, and overtime when required.
- Other duties as assigned.
- The position will not have direct reports.

Work Environment
The work environment characteristics described here represent those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a warehouse environment with elevated noise, dust, and activity. This is a non-temperature-controlled warehouse where temperatures can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter. There is frequent exposure to moving parts.
Physical Demands
Physical ability is essential in this position. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, walk, stand, talk, or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must be able to climb ladders to extreme heights and occasionally lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.

- No travel is required.
Required Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be able to lift and/or move 50 pounds.
- Must be able to lift overhead.
- Must be able to work 6:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m., Monday- Friday, and Overtime when required.
