QubicaAMF is a global leader in the bowling industry, committed to delivering high-quality products and services. We are seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer I to join our dynamic team and contribute to our continued success.

As a Mechanical Engineer l on our Continuation Engineering team, you will play a crucial role in supporting a diverse array of electro-mechanical products. Your expertise will span across sheet metal, machined parts, castings, extruded parts, cast urethane parts, plastics injection molding, and engineered wood products. You will work closely with other departments on projects of varying scope, from small to large-scale initiatives, designing, prototyping, and implementing solutions.  

Essential Functions

  • Lead and support engineering projects by defining objectives, developing project plans, communicating progress, and coordinating resources to achieve project goals.
  • Provide mechanical engineering expertise to improve product performance, enhance safety, resolve manufacturing challenges, and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Investigate product-related issues to identify root causes and develop effective corrective actions. 
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Product Management, Technical Support, Quality, and other Research & Development teams to design, develop, and implement product improvements and new product solutions.
  • Create and maintain engineering drawings, technical documentation, product specifications, service bulletins, and related engineering records.
  • Research and evaluate emerging technologies, industry trends, materials, and manufacturing processes to support continuous product improvement and innovation.
  • Utilize computer-aided design (CAD), engineering software, and specialized testing equipment to develop, analyze, and validate engineering solutions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

The position will not have direct reports.

  • Strong mechanical engineering knowledge with the ability to analyze technical designs, identify issues, and develop practical solutions to support current and future product needs.
  • Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate project activities, communicate expectations, and influence team members to achieve project objectives.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical information clearly.

Work Environment

Approximately 85% performed in a climate-controlled internal office environment working under normal office conditions. Approximately 10% is performed in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment, which may require safety equipment such as steel-toe shoes, ear protection, or safety glasses. Travel Required

  • Travel may be required, approximately 5%, to support off-site testing.

Required Education and Experience

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in mechanical engineering, including product design, analysis, testing, or product development.
  • Experience in applying engineering principles to solve technical problems and support product improvements.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar computer-aided design (CAD) software.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with project management and collaboration tools such as Monday.com and Azure DevOps.
  • Electrical aptitude or experience working with electromechanical systems is preferred.


$85,000 - $95,000 a year

Schedule: Monday - Friday

Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
