We are seeking a Metasurface Design Engineer in our Broomfield, CO Location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in a multidisciplinary team of physicists and engineers, supporting the development of commercial and research systems for quantum computing
- Design, simulate, and evaluate metasurface and diffractive optical components as part of integrated optical systems to deliver and collect light in our next generation quantum computer systems.
- Develop improved methodology for design and analysis, leveraging HPC capabilities
YOU MUST HAVE:
- Master’s Degree minimum
- Minimum 6+ years’ experience (advanced degree inclusive) with design and simulation of metasurface and diffractive photonics components and systems.
- Due to Contractual requirements, must be a U.S. Person. defined as, U.S. citizen permanent resident or green card holder, workers granted asylum or refugee status
- Due to national security requirements imposed by the U.S. Government, candidates for this position must not be a People's Republic of China national or Russian national unless the candidate is also a U.S. citizen.
WE VALUE:
- Ph.D. in (in Optics, Physics, Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field)
- Experience with photonic simulation tools such as FDTD (Lumerical, tidy3D, etc.), FEM, RCWA, etc.
- Experience with scientific coding, data analysis and visualization, and commonly used software such as Python and Matlab
- Experience with computational methods for inverse design and optimization
- Experience with high performance computing
- Experience with or knowledge of optical systems and principles, and optical testing of photonic devices
- Experience with or knowledge of nanofabrication of metasurface and diffractive optics
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, record of published results within field of research
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively and to facilitate the exchange of key details and concepts between team members of diverse technical experience
- Ability to work within a high-performing team and contribute to larger team and organizational goals
$140,000 - $175,000 a year

The pay range for this role is $140,000 – $175,000 annually. Actual compensation within this range may vary based on the candidate’s skills, educational background, professional experience, and unique qualifications for the role.
