We are seeking a Systems Engineering Intern in our Broomfield, CO location to join our team in Broomfield, Colorado for Summer 2027. This internship is intended for a technically strong student entering their senior year of an undergraduate program or a graduate student currently pursuing a degree in systems engineering or a related technical field.

This role is designed for an emerging systems engineer who is eager to build hands-on experience across test development, system modeling, interface definition, and/or requirements allocation for next-generation quantum computing systems.

All applicants for placement in safety-sensitive positions will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug test.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute tests for next-generation systems, including writing test code, building test pipelines, and documenting results
  • Support the design, assembly, and validation of test hardware used to evaluate system performance and interfaces
  • Create SysML models to support interface control, system architecture, and cross-functional communication
  • Assist with requirements decomposition, allocation, traceability, and verification planning

YOU MUST HAVE:

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor’s, master’s or PhD Program
  • Graduating on/after 2027
  • Due to Contractual requirements, must be a U.S. Person. defined as, U.S. citizen permanent resident or green card holder, workers granted asylum or refugee status
  • Due to national security requirements imposed by the U.S. Government, candidates for this position must not be a People's Republic of China national or Russian national unless the candidate is also a U.S. citizen.

WE VALUE:

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work onsite at Quantinuum’s Broomfield, Colorado location during Summer 2027
  • Experience with Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW, or similar engineering/test automation tools
  • Familiarity with SysML, Cameo, MagicDraw, or other modeling tools
  • Exposure to requirements management tools or practices
  • Coursework or project experience involving complex engineered systems, controls, embedded systems, optics, cryogenics, robotics, aerospace systems, or quantum technologies
$27 - $36 an hour

Compensation & Benefits:

The pay range for this role is $27 - $36 per hour. Actual compensation within this range may vary based on the candidate’s skills, educational background, professional experience, and unique qualifications for the role.
