We are seeking a highly qualified Hardware Deployment Systems Engineer for our Broomfield, CO or Golden Valley, MN locations who is well versed in systems engineering tools and processes to enable hardware deployment of our on-premises QPUs. The engineer in this position will focus on requirements development, integration and testing protocols, and verification and validation of the QPU, and its subsystems, leading to hardware deployment. A clear focus on the systems readiness for deployment and its realization is required. Subject matter expertise in trapped ion quantum computing, lasers, optics, classical control hardware and software, vacuum, cryogenics, environmental enclosures, packaging, and hardware deployment will all be impactful to this role.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Support successful deployment of QPUs to customer sites 
    • Understand, analyze, and manage complex requirements for our QPUs and subsystems related to hardware deployment at customer sites, specifically focused on shipping, deploy ability, reliability, and maintainability
    • Develop, maintain, and implement frameworks for testing, disassembly, and deployment protocols
    • Work closely with subsystem and integration teams on requirement and protocol generation and tracing , leveraging your own subject matter expertise and inter-disciplinary collaboration
    • Drive continuous improvement of On-Premises hardware deploy ability from unit to unit and generation to generation
    • Have utmost focus on business success, technical progress, and professionalism

YOU MUST HAVE:

    • Bachelor's degree minimum
    • Minimum 6+ years post-graduate experience as a Systems Engineer, Deployment Engineer, or technical contributor in an R&D or hardware production environment (M.S. and/or Ph.D. inclusive)
    • Due to Contractual requirements, must be a U.S. Person. defined as, U.S. citizen permanent resident or green card holder, workers granted asylum or refugee status

WE VALUE:

    • M.S or Ph.D. in engineering or physical sciences
    • Experience with product life cycle, specifically deployment of hardware, such as high-performance computing, large-scale scientific collaborations, manufacturing, and/or analysis equipment
    • Fluency in Model-Based Systems Engineering and previous experience with Cameo and SysML
    • Deep familiarity with test planning, design for deployment, and the FMEA and RCA process
    • Strong organizational & leadership skills; Excellent written and verbal communication skills
$125,000 - $150,000 a year
Compensation & Benefits:
Range posted is inclusive of bonus target when applicable
