We are seeking a Materials Manager in our Broomfield, CO, Location.
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Materials Manager to support our quantum hardware development labs and global projects. In this role you will lead the Materials Execution Team, responsible for Stockroom Operations, Asset Management and Material Movements. You will collaborate closely with scientists, engineers, supply chain teams, finance, and program managers to coordinate inventory and logistics for cutting-edge quantum technology initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage operational team responsible for Receiving/Shipping, Asset Management, Logistics (Import/Export) and Inventory Control
- Promote a culture of safety by ensuring adherence to industry regulations, safety standards, and Quantinuum’s corporate policies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in material flow, asset capitalization, cycle count accuracy, RFID tagging and inventory management
- Train, mentor, and develop high-performing teams by standardizing processes, documenting procedures and sharing best practices across locations
- Collaborate with Shipment Carriers, Govt Agencies, Procurement, Finance and Technical Teams to resolve shipment issues
- Track and publish performance metrics to optimize operations, improve productivity and reduce costs
- Identify and eliminate root causes of defects to drive efficiency in operations
- Maintain full material traceability, inventory storage, and documentation readiness
- Support and execute strategic projects to meet business commitments and goals
- Analyze operational procedures to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
YOU MUST HAVE:
- Bachelor’s Degree minimum required
- Minimum 3+ years of direct management experience, including a salaried workforce, in a manufacturing, production or distribution environment required
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Logistics or Operations in new development high-tech manufacturing, aerospace, semiconductors, or related industries required
- Due to Contractual requirements, must be a U.S. Person defined as, U.S. citizen permanent resident or green card holder, workers granted asylum or refugee status.
- Due to national security requirements imposed by the U.S. Government, candidates for this position must not be a People's Republic of China national or Russian national unless the candidate is also a U.S. citizen.
WE VALUE:
- Experience with ERP or Planning systems (SAP a plus)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including MS Excel, Power Point and Smartsheet
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- Experience working with complex, highly specialized materials (e.g., cryogenic components, superconducting materials, precision-manufactured parts).
- Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations
- Strong project management skills including the ability to manage priorities and workflow
- Proven experience with manufacturing/business process development and improvement
- High bias for action with creative problem-solving skills
- Ability to succinctly report on operations measures to stakeholders and all levels of leadership
- Detail and action-oriented, ability to delineate information into manageable components
- Excellent customer service skills, communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Track record of meeting or exceeding department performance goals
- A flexible and dynamic individual; able to motivate him/herself and others
- Experience creating structure in a fast‐paced and ambiguous environment
- A willingness and ability to ‘roll up the sleeves’ and engage in driving tactical execution when necessary
$120,000 - $151,000 a year
Compensation & Benefits:
Incentive Eligible – Range posted is inclusive of bonus target when applicable
The pay range for this role is $120,000 – $151,000 annually. Actual compensation within this range may vary based on the candidate’s skills, educational background, professional experience, and unique qualifications for the role.
