Principal Security Specialist - 939
We are seeking a Principal Security Specialist in our Broomfield, CO, Location.

The Principal Security Specialist leads the strategy, governance, and continuous improvement of Quantinuum’s Crisis Management and Security Operations capabilities. The role owns the frameworks, operating models, and governance that enable effective preparation for, response to, and recovery from security incidents and business disruptions, strengthening organizational resilience and supporting Quantinuum’s global growth.
In this role, you will set the long-term strategy for enterprise security operations, including the future Global Security Operations Center (GSOC), security operations governance, third-party security risk, and related enterprise security capabilities.
Working closely with Business Continuity, Enterprise Risk Management, Operations, Information Security, Legal, Human Resources, and other business functions, the role ensures security capabilities, strengthens organizational resilience and supports the organization's business continuity objectives while maintaining clear separation from business continuity program ownership.
This role complements the Principal, Security Investigations & Intelligence, who leads investigations, intelligence strategy, and law enforcement partnerships, by providing enterprise leadership for crisis management, security operations, and the continued development of Quantinuum's enterprise security capabilities

Key Responsibilities:
Enterprise Crisis Management & Organizational Resilience

Own and continually mature Quantinuum's Crisis Management capability, strengthening organizational resilience through governance, preparedness, coordinated response, and continual improvement.

Lead the enterprise Crisis Management Program, including governance, response frameworks, executive decision support, and coordination during incidents and crises.

Develop and oversee crisis exercises, tabletop simulations, after-action reviews, and resilience initiatives partnering with Business Continuity and key stakeholders to strengthen preparedness and organizational response capabilities.
Security Operations Capability Development

Design and develop the strategy, governance, and operating model for Quantinuum’s Global Security Operations Center (GSOC), including operating models, technology, staffing, governance, and service delivery.

Establish enterprise standards, operating procedures, and performance measures while driving initiatives that improve capability, scalability, and operational maturity. Identify capability gaps and lead initiatives that strengthen the effectiveness, scalability, and future growth of the global security function.
Enterprise Security Programs & Risk Integration

Lead enterprise security programs that reduce organizational risk and embed security into business operations and strategic initiates.

Own governance for third-party security risk and external threat management programs, including supplier due diligence for security standards, external threat management, and online risks, and risk mitigation strategies.

Partner across the business to integrate security into enterprise governance and business processes.

Provide security leadership for strategic initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions, global expansion, and critical supplier relationships.
Strategic Advisory

Develop executive dashboards, performance metrics, and governance reporting that demonstrate program effectiveness and support informed decision-making.

Represent Global Security with external partners, government agencies, industry organizations, and strategic service providers.

Champion continuous improvement by identifying emerging risks, adopting industry best practices, and driving the evolution of Quantinuum's crisis management and security operations capabilities.
YOU MUST HAVE:

Bachelor's degree minimum

Minimum 15+ years of progressive experience in corporate security, law enforcement, emergency management, enterprise risk, or related security disciplines.

Demonstrated experience leading enterprise crisis management, security operations, or operational risk programs within a complex organization.

Due to Contractual requirements, must be a U.S. Person defined as, U.S. citizen permanent resident or green card holder, workers granted asylum or refugee status.

Due to national security requirements imposed by the U.S. Government, candidates for this position must not be a People's Republic of China national or Russian national unless the candidate is also a U.S. citizen.

Bachelor's degree in security management, Criminal Justice, Emergency Management, Risk Management, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience) preferred.

Demonstrated experience leading enterprise crisis management, security operations, or operational risk programs within a complex organization.

Experience developing or governing enterprise security programs, frameworks, or operating models.

Experience leading executive-level crisis response and advising senior leaders during high-impact incidents.

Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and work effectively across business functions.

Prior federal law enforcement, intelligence, military, emergency management, or senior government security leadership experience.

Experience designing or maturing enterprise crisis management, security operations, or organizational resilience programs.

Experience establishing or leading a Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) or comparable enterprise security operations capability.
Compensation & Benefits:
Incentive Eligible – Range posted is inclusive of bonus target
The pay range for this role is $160,000 – $200,000 annually. Actual compensation within this range may vary based on the candidate’s skills, educational background, professional experience, and unique qualifications for the role.
