Advanced Cryogenic Engineer - 743
Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop cryogenic systems, including refrigeration and liquefaction systems, cryostats, and cryogenic storage solutions.

Apply principles of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid dynamics to optimize cryogenic processes.

Conduct research to develop new cryogenic technologies and improve existing systems.

Stay current with advancements in cryogenics and related fields.

Perform simulations and experiments to test cryogenic equipment and systems.
-
Analyze data and ensure systems meet performance and safety standards.

Prepare technical documentation, including design specifications, operating manuals, and maintenance guidelines.

Present findings and project updates to stakeholders and management.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cryogenic systems into various projects. Work closely with other engineers, scientists, and technical staff to achieve project objectives.

Liaise with suppliers, manufacturers, and external contractors as needed.

Contribute to R&D projects aimed at improving cryogenic processes and applications.

Installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting control instrumentation, control systems, and/or cryogenic turbomachinery.

Ability to travel up to 10%
YOU MUST HAVE:

Bachelor’s degree minimum

Minimum 4+ years’ experience (PhD inclusive) involving one of the following areas: cryogenics, turbomachinery, process infrastructure, or associated control and automation systems

WE VALUE:

Master's degree, PhD, or higher in Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, or a related field preferred.

Strong understanding of engineering principles, thermodynamics, and heat transfer.

Proficiency in controls software for controls systems and/or CAD software for system design and modeling.

Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations pertaining to cryogenic materials.

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex systems.

Familiarity with helium liquefaction and recovery processes.

Advanced certifications or training in cryogenic engineering.
Compensation & Benefits:
The pay range for this role is $113,000 – $142,000 annually. Actual compensation within this range may vary based on the candidate’s skills, educational background, professional experience, and unique qualifications for the role.
