We are seeking an IT Technical Business Analyst in our Broomfield, CO, Location.

The IT Technical Business Analyst plays a critical role within our IT PMO, serving as the key link between business stakeholders and technical teams. You will translate complex business needs into clear system requirements and partner with IT engineers and architects to document and define the corresponding technical solutions. In addition to traditional business analysis responsibilities, this role requires the ability to translate business requirements and technical solution inputs into a structured, executable project plan. You will work closely with IT architects and engineers to define scope, sequence work, and outline deliverables in a format the Project Manager can build on to run and track the project. This role is critical in ensuring all requirements, solution elements, and dependencies are captured at the appropriate level of detail to support successful execution and change management.
This position requires prior experience as a Technical Business Analyst and a strong ability to navigate both technical detail and strategic business objectives. This role is foundational to ensure project plans are accurate; delivery is predictable, and that the PMO can execute effectively with full alignment between business intent, technical design, and delivery milestones.
Key Responsibilities:
- Requirements Gathering & Documentation

Engage with stakeholders to understand business goals, challenges, and constraints.

Translate business needs into detailed functional and technical requirements.

Ensure requirements and business objectives are clearly structured so they can be decomposed into project scope, workstreams, and delivery milestones.

Produce high-quality artifacts, including:

User stories & acceptance criteria

Business Requirements Documents (BRDs)

System Requirement Specifications (SRS)

Process flows, data flows, and use case diagrams

Data Analysis & Insights
-
Analyze datasets to validate requirements, identify trends, and support decision-making.

Build insights using tools such as Power BI to drive recommendations and business alignment.

Communicate findings through clear reporting and presentations.

Support workshops, sprint planning, and backlog grooming.

Process Analysis & Optimization
-
Document current state business processes and workflows.
-
Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for system or process improvements.

Propose and refine future-state models in collaboration with business and IT teams.

System & Solution Documentation

Partner with IT architects and engineers to translate business requirements into clear, feasible technical solution plans.

Understand and document solution components involving APIs and AI‑enabled features, including integrations, data flows, and system constraints, without owning design or implementation activities. Develop structured, actionable documentation that connects business requirements to system design, architecture, integrations, data flows, and technical constraints.

Translate solution designs into a project‑ready implementation plan, capturing scope, milestones, dependencies, sequencing, and required deliverables at the level of detail a Project Manager needs to execute, track, and report on progress.

Ensure requirements and solution details are fully traceable through design, development, testing, deployment, and change management.

Collaborate with the PM to identify changes in scope, assess impacts, and manage updates to the project plan.

Review solution documentation with engineers, architects, business stakeholders, and PMO leadership to ensure alignment and shared understanding.

Change Management & Implementation Support

Support rollout activities such as training, documentation creation, and communication planning.

Assist business users in adopting new systems, features, and enhancements.

Promote best practices and ensure smooth transitions during system changes.

Support UAT planning, test case review, and defect triage as needed.
YOU MUST HAVE:

Bachelor's Degree minimum required

Minimum 5 years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst or similar IT-focused role required.

Due to Contractual requirements, must be a U.S. Person defined as, U.S. citizen permanent resident or green card holder, workers granted asylum or refugee status.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

Demonstrated ability to translate business and technical requirements into a structured work plan—including scope definition, task breakdown, sequencing, and dependencies—to support project execution within the PMO.

Strong experience with requirements gathering, stakeholder interviews, and process documentation.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non‑technical audiences.

Training in Six Sigma or PMP Certification is a plus.

Experience with ERP, CRM, and cloud platforms such as SAP and ServiceNow

Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional discussions and coordinate across global teams.

Experience with change management, process optimization, and analytical problem-solving.

Experience working within a PMO or similar structured project delivery environment, translating technical requirements into project plans and supporting project managers during execution.

The pay range for this role is $104,000 – $130,000 annually. Actual compensation within this range may vary based on the candidate’s skills, educational background, professional experience, and unique qualifications for the role.
