We are seeking a Senior Applications Administrator in our Broomfield, CO or Brooklyn Park, MN Locations.
 
About the Role:
As Applications Administrator, you will be part of the Enterprise Applications team and will play a crucial and hands-on role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our applications, platforms, and tools.  You will engage with business teams and partners across the globe, as well as external vendors, to gather requirements and propose business-aligned solutions. This role will report to our Enterprise Apps Manager and will work in partnership with our IT engineering and support teams to ensure integration and alignment with our critical infrastructure.
 
As an Applications Administrator, you will help shape and execute the enterprise apps strategy and roadmap that is aligned and positioned to innovate and deliver compelling business value on a global scale.  You will work to ensure stakeholders have access to our systems and services whenever and wherever they need them.
 
You will be supported by a global IT organization providing cutting-edge solutions and services to our scientific teams. Your work will increase collaboration and productivity and will support the development of quantum software, applications, and hardware which will have a future impact on our everyday lives. Previous experience in a similar role as part of a high-performing team is preferred. A natural desire to collaborate and exceed stakeholder expectations is ideal for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate and engage with stakeholders and IT staff to provide exceptional customer support, system updates, status updates, etc.
    • Oversee application deployments and migrations, server system support, and troubleshoot issues within a global enterprise. Plan, communicate, and execute platform migrations, upgrades, and phase outs as necessary. 
    • Create and maintain up-to-date documentation, including drawings, configurations, and recovery plans.
    • Provide training sessions or materials to educate users on how to effectively utilize the applications to meet their business objectives.
    • Establish backup and recovery procedures to safeguard data and ensure business continuity in the event of system failures or disasters.
    • Identify opportunities to optimize the performance and configuration of applications, such as tuning settings, implementing caching mechanisms, or similar.
    • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure consistent operations.
    • Ensure IT and security controls are consistently implemented and aligned with industry regulations, policies, standards, and best practices.
    • Build, deploy, and manage dependency system components including database environments that enable operation of Enterprise Applications.
    • Analyze usage trends and forecast future resource requirements to ensure applications scale to meet growing demands.
    • Interact with software vendors to report issues, request assistance, and stay informed about product updates and future developments.
    • Implement and manage SaaS based application solutions.
    • Experience with Azure AD SSO enablement and integration.
    • Work directly with the team and manager to develop cost optimization and resource rationalization strategies. 

YOU MUST HAVE:

    • Bachelor's degree
    • Minimum 3+ years of experience supporting and deploying application technologies for engineering and software development teams (Ex: Jenkins, Atlassian Tools, Artifactory, Github, FlexLM, etc.).
    • Minimum 2+ years of experience of Windows and Linux systems administration, support, and monitoring.
    • Applicants for employment for this position must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States and with Quantinuum. (i.e., H1-B visa, F-1 visa (OPT), TN visa or any other non-immigrant status) 

WE VALUE:

    • Masters degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and/or equivalent formal training and experience.
    • Recent documented experience as an applications administrator, or similar role, in an enterprise environment.
    • SaaS application management and configuration experience including 3rd-party integrations. E.g., Box, Docusign, Smartsheet, or similar.
    • Knowledge of various database technologies; MySQL, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, and non-SQL.
    • Experience with virtualization technologies, desktop and server, such as VMware, Nutanix, Hyper-V, etc.
    • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Rancher, Kubernetes, Docker) is a plus.
    • Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Datadog).
    • Experience with CRM or ERP user administration and access (e.g., Salesforce, SAP, etc.).
    • Solid understanding of networking, security principles, and best practices.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
    • A desire to work side-by-side and engage with partners on challenging problems.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
    • Willingness to be flexible in meeting the demands of a fast-moving business.
$108,000 - $135,000 a year
