Inspector - 1029
We are seeking an Inspector in our Broomfield, CO location.
All applicants for placement in safety-sensitive positions will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug test.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform incoming inspection of purchased components, materials, assemblies, and fabricated parts to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and quality requirements
- Operate Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) equipment to inspect complex mechanical components and verify dimensional accuracy
- Review engineering drawings, CAD models, specifications, and inspection plans to determine acceptance criteria
- Conduct dimensional, visual, and documentation inspections of incoming materials and components
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate records within quality management and manufacturing systems
- Identify, document, and escalate non-conforming materials in accordance with established quality procedures
- Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality teams to resolve discrepancies and support corrective actions
- Support first article inspections (FAI), source inspections, and qualification activities as required
- Develop and maintain inspection procedures, checklists, and standard work instructions
- Assist with calibration, maintenance, and verification of inspection equipment and metrology tools
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on inspection processes, quality performance, and operational efficiency
- Analyze inspection data and identify trends to support supplier quality and manufacturing improvement efforts
- Maintain organized inspection areas and adhere to 5S, safety, and quality standards
- Ensure compliance with company quality requirements, engineering specifications, and regulatory standards
- Support production schedules by ensuring timely inspection and disposition of incoming materials
YOU MUST HAVE:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum 3-5+ years of experience in quality inspection, incoming inspection, manufacturing quality, or metrology environments
- Due to national security requirements imposed by the U.S. Government, candidates for this position must not be a People's Republic of China national or Russian national unless the candidate is also a U.S. citizen.
- Due to Contractual requirements, must be a U.S. Person, defined as a U.S. citizen, permanent resident or green card holder, workers granted asylum or refugee status.
WE VALUE:
- Associate degree or technical certification in Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, Metrology, or a related field
- Experience operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and interpreting dimensional inspection results
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, specifications, and technical documentation
- Experience using precision measurement equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, indicators, and optical measurement systems
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Experience programming or operating advanced CMM systems such as Zeiss, Hexagon, Mitutoyo, or similar platforms
- Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Experience supporting incoming inspection in manufacturing, aerospace, semiconductor, medical device, or advanced technology environments
- Familiarity with quality management systems, nonconformance processes, and corrective action methodologies
- Experience working with ERP, MES, or quality management software systems
- Knowledge of first article inspection (FAI) and supplier quality processes
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Compensation & Benefits:
The pay range for this role is $66,000 – $88,000 annually. Actual compensation within this range may vary based on the candidate's skills, educational background, professional experience, and unique qualifications for the role.
