About the Team

We are Quadcode, a fintech company excelling in financial brokerage activities and delivering advanced financial products to our global clientele. Our flagship product, an internal trading platform, is offered as a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution to other brokers.

We're currently seeking a Control Desk Specialist to join our team in a hybrid work model, based in either our Limassol or Larnaca office. This role is crucial for ensuring operational compliance, monitoring trading activity, and supporting internal stakeholders.

While this role sits within Quadcode, day-to-day responsibilities are dedicated to supporting Polymarket US, our partner company. You will work closely with Polymarket's operations, ensuring platform integrity, trading oversight, and compliance standards are upheld on their behalf.

Tasks:

  • Monitor trading activity and conduct trade surveillance to identify unusual or suspicious behavior
  • Detect, investigate, and escalate potential fraud or suspicious activity
  • Enforce operating rules, controls, and platform guardrails
  • Review and approve risk-based exceptions and high-risk decisions
  • Oversee operational controls across trading and money movement processes, including wire processing via internal systems
  • Perform manual approvals or cancellations of deposits and withdrawals requiring additional review
  • Monitor transactions for irregularities and escalate suspicious cases to the AML team
  • Ensure operational teams adhere to policies, procedures, and risk thresholds
  • Perform quality control and monitor the effectiveness of operational processes
  • Coordinate incident response related to trading, payments, or system failures
  • Support automation failovers and systemic remediation efforts
  • Implement risk mitigation measures during operational disruptions
  • Provide manual market intervention and resolution when required
  • Escalate critical risks, operational anomalies, or control breaches
  • Collaborate with Risk, Payments, and Operations teams to resolve systemic issues
  • Maintain clear documentation and reporting of incidents, decisions, and escalations

Requirements:

  • Experience in trading operations, payments operations, risk monitoring, or fraud detection
  • Strong understanding of financial controls, trade surveillance, and money movement processes
  • Ability to make risk-based decisions in real time
  • Experience working with operational workflows, monitoring tools, or incident management systems
  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills

Bonus Qualifications:
  • Experience in fintech, brokerage, trading platforms, or digital payments
  • Familiarity with KYC, AML, and fraud monitoring frameworks
  • Experience in incident management or operational control functions
