About the role
The global Naspers finance team supports the Naspers/ Prosus group’s operational and strategic decision making processes through business partnerships and providing insight into how the group performs and develops. We manage accounting and control matters globally; we drive compliance with the regulatory environments within which we operate and assist business through legal, tax and financial deal support in contract negotiations.
The Finance Systems team is responsible for the administration of the group’s OneStream application, on which the overall Naspers and Prosus groups consolidation is performed in respect of the actual, forecast and budget results, as well as supporting future enhancements. The Finance Systems team provides support to both the internal and external reporting teams.
The Finance Systems team is based in Johannesburg and supports the following customers:
- Internal and external reporting teams
- Global finance teams
- Middle and senior management
- Auditors (internal and external)
The OneStream System Senior Specialist will fulfill an important role in the reporting team of Naspers and will drive the implementation of the group’s OneStream application and support the deployed application. This role is comprised of business-as-usual maintenance, development, project work, end-user support, troubleshooting, and other ad-hoc tasks.
Key Outputs
- Maintenance of application dimensions (entity structures, chart of accounts, flow and UD dimensions).
- Development and maintenance of member formulas, business rules, dashboards, visualizations, and reports.
- Troubleshoot end user issues, for a user community located across the globe, through the Freshdesk ticketing system.
- Maintain governance around the OneStream applications in respect of access and change management, etc.
- Workflow management tasks (updating workflows, creating new workflows incl. creating, maintaining and updating transformation rules).
- Liaise with OneStream for review of the DR process.
- Liaise with OneStream to schedule vendor patches and new releases, following change-control management incl. testing of application post these changes.
- Troubleshoot system issues as they arise.
- Participate in the design, implementation and rollout of new system functionality.
- Participate in design, development, testing and implementation of projects e.g. new applications.
- Coach junior team members.
- Assist with end-user training and documentation as needed.
- Perform periodic maintenance such as loading, clearing, and copying data as needed.
- Maintain integration process with other non-OneStream systems e.g. CDM.
- Other adhoc tasks.
- This role works under the direction of the Group Finance Systems Lead and ensures the OneStream system is operating as it should.
Qualifications & Experience required
- Must have a BComm Accounting degree.
- Must have 3+ years business experience in corporate finance, specifically related to consolidations and financial disclosure requirements.
- In addition, must have at least 1 year experience as a OneStream or HFM administrator.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience.
