Interim Senior Communications Manager: Prosus Ventures
Purpose
This role serves as the primary communications leader for Prosus Ventures across EMEA and Latin America. The role leads all Ventures communications activity in the region — owning deal communications end-to-end, building and maintaining relationships with top-tier technology media, supporting the Prosus Ventures events strategy and providing strategic counsel to a portfolio of 50+ Ventures portfolio companies. In addition, the Ventures communications manager is responsible for Ventures content development, on emerging themes that underpin the Ventures investment strategy.
Key responsibilities

Serve as the communications lead for Prosus Ventures in select markets, owning strategy and execution across Europe, Middle East, Latin America.
Ventures

Lead all Ventures deal communications end-to-end: press releases, "Why We Invested" memos, media outreach, and visual social collateral collaboration with social for all lead investments in Europe, Middle East, Latam, US.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with top-tier business, financial, and technology journalists across the US, Latin America, and Europe for Ventures only

Provide strategic communications counsel to portfolio companies as needed and serve as the main point of comms contact across the 50+ companies between above markets. Connecting them to resources across agencies, design and social + connections to media and insights on announcements separate from deal flow.

Help manage and maintain relationships at key regional and global events and amongst partner organizations across Latam and Europe for Ventures speaking slots (South Summit Brazil & Madrid, Web Summit, Cerebral Valley, Slush); (Semafor, TechCrunch, a16z tech weeks in US); (LAVCA, Canary Ventures, Norte, etc. in Latam).

Support relationships with head of Prosus Ventures/CEO with internal communications, OKR alignment, new Prosus PR plans and vision; support new structural changes; comms point of contact for deal leads.

Support the Intelligence Hub initiative — developing long-form thematic content, infographics, and insight-led media assets across owned and social channels, spanning core investment themes and working closely with strategy & investment teams.

Lead the founder profile program — behind-the-scenes founding stories and product-market fit narratives for each new deal + move to video.

Collaborate with Prosus Group social and digital teams on Ventures-specific content, website, blogs, and social media channel strategy.
Experience:

8+ years of experience in communication roles within public-listed companies or large communications agencies.

Exposure to startup and tech communications, particularly focused on AI, working directly with founders.

Experience in managing multiple agencies globally.

Proven track record in communicating technology and investment narratives, working directly and managing relationships with multiple internal stakeholders.

Expertise in crisis management and proactive media relations across a variety of media forms, including traditional media, podcasts and events.

Experience in digital communications, particularly in AI and technology sectors
