The Opportunity

Join Prosus as an Entrepreneur in Residence and leverage your hard-earned entrepreneurial expertise to shape the future of technology across global markets. This isn't a typical corporate role—it's a dynamic position designed for successful founders who want to multiply their impact by working at the intersection of entrepreneurship, venture investment, and strategic growth.

Why this role matters:
You'll be a critical bridge between our investment teams and portfolio companies, bringing authentic founder-to-founder insights that only someone who has built, scaled, and navigated the startup journey can provide. Your fingerprints will be on deal evaluation, portfolio value creation, new venture incubation, and strategic initiatives that shape our $100B+ portfolio.

You're a proven entrepreneur who has lived the startup journey - from early-stage chaos to scaling success. You've experienced the highs of product-market fit and the lows of near-death experiences. You thrive in ambiguity, move fast, and bring authentic insights that only come from being in the arena.

You're an industry authority with deep sector expertise and pattern recognition that comes from experience. You see market opportunities before they're obvious, understand competitive dynamics intuitively, and bring a network of relationships that create meaningful value.

You're a strategic operator with sharp commercial instincts. You've assessed risk hundreds of times, made tough calls with incomplete information, and executed strategies that resulted in measurable growth. You think like an investor but operate like a founder.

You're a product expert who understands the complete journey from customer insight to market dominance. You've built products customers love, iterated based on data, scaled go-to-market engines, and expanded into new markets successfully.

You're an experienced mentor who finds genuine fulfillment in helping other founders navigate their journeys. Whether it's product-market fit, fundraising strategy, team building, or operational scaling—you've been there, and you're generous with your knowledge.

You're a connected ecosystem player who opens doors. Your network includes fellow founders, investors, key talent, potential partners, and industry leaders. You create value by making the right introductions at the right time.

What You Bring

Founder or Exec-level operator at a high-growth tech company
Scaled a startup through Series A+ with proven results in revenue growth, user acquisition, GMV, market leadership, or successful exit
Deep expertise in fintech, food delivery, marketplaces, payments, SaaS, or consumer internet
Team builder — you've hired, led, and scaled high-performing teams (10+ people)
International operator — experience expanding to or operating in multiple markets
Strategic thinker who quickly assesses opportunities and risks across diverse contexts
Executive communicator — comfortable with C-suite and board audiences
Technical or product management background
Thrives in ambiguity and context-switches across industries with ease

Nice to Have:

Successful exit, VC/angel investing experience, or startup mentorship track record
Emerging markets experience (LatAm, Asia, Africa, MENA) or multilingual capabilities
