The Opportunity
Do you have experience in cyber security with technical knowledge, coupled with an experience with AI security? Are you willing to explore, learn, and understand how systems work, what security risks might hide? Are you ready to step up from highly technical roles to a strategic yet hands-on position, requiring both expertise in security and communication with critical stakeholders?
The Prosus cyber team is for you! We analyze and identify security risks, technical vulnerabilities, logic gaps and misconfigurations in complex platforms and systems. As part of this opportunity, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the security posture of multiple globally impactful businesses.
Who You Are
- You are a proactive and driven individual with:
- Demonstrable experience in cyber security, with technical knowledge. A background in technical security assessments such as penetration testing, vulnerability management, or red teaming is preferred.
- A community builder, which is part of leading a technical community. A passion for staying ahead in a continuously evolving field of cyber security. Curiosity for experimentation with emerging technologies including AI. Past experiences with AI engineering or AI testing are a significant plus.
- The ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams and geographies, connecting with local and global experts. Comfort with ambiguity and the flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced, global organization.
- A mindset that embraces critical thinking, resilience, and creativity when solving complex problems. You can run high-stake initiatives or projects independently or coordinate an experienced team of technical experts.
What You Bring
- Experience & expertise: 8+ years of relevant experience in cyber security, cyber risk management, red teaming, or technical security.
- Project management: Proven experience in managing (technical) projects end-to-end, ideally across industries and geographies.
- Technical knowledge: A robust grasp of cyber security practices, OWASP, MITRE ATT&CK framework, and cyber risk. Knowledge of cloud security.
- Analytical skills: Exceptional critical thinking to evaluate potential threats and recommend actionable solutions. Ability to analyze data, deal with ambiguity, and draw a reasonable conclusion.
- Technical tools: Ability to write scripts, use automation tools, and hack together a solution to technically deep-dive a vulnerability or a misconfiguration.
- Communication: Ability to translate technical cyber security issues into business language for stakeholders.
- Commitment to security: Curiosity to investigate and learn security of new technologies (e.g., AI, ML, LLM, agents) and the impact of vulnerabilities on the business.
Your Typical Day
- "You will never be bored in our daily job!". Each day as a Cyber Manager at Prosus involves dynamic tasks:
- Performing security assessments at various levels-technical, architectural, and process flows-through interviews and logical architecture reviews.
- Performing formal audits on technology and cyber security risks. Taking part in high-profile evaluations, reporting findings directly to the CTOs and CISOs to enhance the security posture of Prosus-owned businesses.
- Traveling up to 30% of your time globally to engage face-to-face with teams, stakeholders, and experts in tech hubs worldwide.Participating in hackathons and technical hands-on activities to continually stay updated with cutting-edge technologies.
- Bringing our security community together. Organize events for the cyber security teams of the Prosus businesses spanning multiple countries
