The Problem You'll Solve

The AI House is Prosus' bet on building Europe's most vibrant AI community hub in Amsterdam. But a hub is only as alive as the events, connections, and energy flowing through it — and that takes someone who lives and breathes great experiences.

As an Events Management Intern, you'll be the hands-on force behind the AI House's event calendar and community engagement. You'll support the design and delivery of product launches, workshops, hackathons, and networking sessions that bring together Prosus AI teams, portfolio companies, and the broader European AI ecosystem. You'll also help tell the story — creating content from events and connecting with universities and external organisations to strengthen Prosus' employer brand.

This is a role for someone who wants to build real, hands-on experience in the heart of Europe's AI ecosystem — not fetching coffee, but shaping experiences.

Success in this role looks like:

  • A well-organised, regularly updated AI House events calendar with seamless logistics from concept to follow-up

  • Growing, engaged community across the AI House's digital platforms and physical events

  • Lightweight content from events — recaps, social media highlights, and community communications — that extends the reach and impact of each gathering

  • Strong partnerships with universities and external organisations that strengthen Prosus' employer brand and AI community presence

  • Measurable growth in social media engagement and followership across LinkedIn and Instagram

Who You Are

You're the person who always knows what's happening, who's doing interesting work, and how to bring the right people together. You thrive on making others successful and connected. You're scrappy, resourceful, and willing to do whatever it takes to create great experiences — whether that's setting up the room, drafting a LinkedIn post, or scouting an interesting AI startup to invite. You're passionate about AI and genuinely excited about the technology and its potential.

You should apply if:

  • You're energised by events — organising meetups, curating experiences, and making things happen is second nature to you

  • You have a strong interest in AI, what's emerging, and what the community cares about

  • You're service-oriented — you thrive on making others successful and connected, and no task is too small when it serves the bigger picture

  • You're entrepreneurial — comfortable building something new and excited by the autonomy to shape it

  • You're detail-oriented but never lose sight of the experience and vibe

What You Bring

Must have:

  • A passion for organising meetups and events, with a keen eye for detail

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills — clear, warm, and professional across all channels

  • Strong understanding of social media platforms like LinkedIn and Instagram, including strategies for community engagement and increasing followership

  • A creative mindset with a keen eye for developing compelling, mission-driven content

  • Analytical skills to measure and interpret social media performance metrics

  • Ability to collaborate with internal comms and brand teams to create and implement social media campaigns

  • Currently studying or recently graduated in event management, communications, marketing, or a related field

Nice to have:

  • Existing network in Amsterdam or European tech and AI ecosystem

  • Experience with developer communities or technical meetups

  • Exposure to content production through studies, internships, or extracurricular activities

  • An interest in employer branding and its role in talent attraction

  • Based in or willing to relocate to Amsterdam
