Remote Junior Account Manager (German speaker, 24.000€ – 36.000€)
Finom is a European tech startup headquartered in Amsterdam, and we’re on a journey towards revolutionizing the financial landscape for entrepreneurs worldwide. Our mission is to develop an all-in-one financial B2B solution that integrates banking functions, accounting, financial management, and invoicing into a seamless, mobile-first platform.
We recently closed a €115 million Series C equity round (around $133 million), bringing our total funding to approximately $346 million. This significant investment follows a $105 million growth funding round from General Catalyst, a long-term backer since 2021 known for supporting companies like Airbnb, HubSpot, KAYAK, and Stripe.
Finom's platform goes beyond traditional banking, offering invoicing and a growing suite of features, including AI-enabled accounting, aiming to simplify financial management for entrepreneurs. We're actively expanding our reach across key EU markets like Germany, France, the Netherlands, Italy, and Spain.
About the role
As a Junior Account Manager, you'll manage your own portfolio of business customers: building relationships, understanding their businesses, and helping them get the most value from Finom. This isn't a traditional support role, and it isn't cold sales. It's about building long-term relationships, reducing churn, increasing engagement, and helping customers grow with Finom.
Using customer data and behavioural insights, you'll identify customers whose activity has dropped, those at risk of leaving, and customers with opportunities to increase their usage of our products.
You'll contact customers by phone, email and chat, understand what's happening in their business, remove barriers to success, and work across multiple teams to ensure they receive an outstanding experience. Every interaction should leave the customer feeling that Finom genuinely cares about their business.
This is a fully remote position.

Understand each customer's business, goals and banking needs.
Reduce customer churn
Proactively contact customers who:

-
Encouraging customers to make Finom their primary business account.
-
Identifying unmet needs and future opportunities.
-
Sharing customer feedback with Product and other internal teams.
You own the relationship with your customer. If a customer has experienced an issue, you don't hand customers off to another team, you stay responsible for the relationship throughout.
You'll work closely with Customer Care, Sales, Product, Operations, Risk and AI to give customers the best possible experience, and to make sure their feedback improves our products and processes.
What Success Looks Like
You'll have clear quarterly objectives focused on customer outcomes, not just activity, including:

Reducing customer churn and reactivating inactive customers.
-
Increasing customer engagement and product adoption.
-
Helping more customers make Finom their primary business banking provider.

-
Previous experience in Account Management, Customer Success, Business Development or Outbound Sales.
-
Excellent communication skills and confidence speaking with customers over the phone.
-
Strong relationship-building skills and commercial awareness, without being pushy.
-
A proactive mindset, curiosity, and the ability to ask great questions.
-
Excellent organisation and follow-up skills, and the ability to manage multiple customer relationships at once.
-
Native-level fluency in German, French or Italian (the market you'll support), plus fluent English.
