The position is open at the company hubs: Cyprus, Spain, and Poland.
Cyprus: relocation package is provided.
Spain: we are only able to hire candidates who possess a DNI (for Spanish nationals) or an NIE (for foreign nationals). Relocation support is not provided.
Poland: employment will be under 'Umowa o Pracę' (UoP). Relocation support is not provided.
What You Will Be Doing
- Develop and standardized ETL process for data marts in Databricks Data Platform on Spark.
- Develop online updated data marts for anti fraud detection and prevention models
- Investigate and resolve data-related issues, troubleshoot ETL failures, and provide technical support.
- Develop and standardized monitoring ETL and data-quality on Databricks platform
- Collaborate with data scientists, backend and BI engineers on cross-functional projects;
- Proactively identify and implement opportunities for DWH improvements, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness;
- Assemble datasets that meet functional and non-functional business requirements. Including real-time gathering and updating
- Mentorship for middle data engineers
Who You Are
- 5+ of proven experience working as an ETL Developer or Data Engineer
- Strong proficiency in SQL-based programming languages
- Experience with Python language for data manipulation, pipeline development, backend systems and understanding of object-oriented programming paradigm
- Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (Databricks, Spark, Spark Streaming) (mandatory)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex data-related issues
- Start-up oriented, proactive, result-driven, and capable of working under own initiative and little supervision. Familiarity with stream-processing platforms (Apache Kafka, Amazon Kinesis, etc)
- English – full working proficiency
