Join us as a Lead Monitoring Engineer, where you'll lead our monitoring and observability initiatives. This role is ideal for a proactive, technically skilled individual with a passion for building and optimizing monitoring systems. What You Will Be Doing

    • Monitoring:
    • Develop and implement monitoring processes for business metrics in a corporate setting.
    • Configure and manage monitoring systems (Prometheus, Grafana) to ensure reliable production services.
    • Ensure comprehensive observability of logs, metrics, and traces.
    • Identify and address gaps in monitoring procedures through thorough documentation.
    • Continuously analyze data from logs and alerts to propose improvements.
    • Incident Management:
    • Oversee incident management, ensuring timely resolution and minimal service disruption.
    • Develop strategies for effective incident management to enhance service quality.
    • Lead post-incident reviews to determine root causes and implement preventive measures.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and inform the risk committee of incidents.
    • Implement and manage incident management tools and processes.
    • Technical Expertise:
    • Design, automate, maintain, and optimize observability platforms (logging, metrics, tracing).
    • Work with public cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud).
    • Build and maintain Kubernetes-based distributed systems.
    • Utilize monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, PagerDuty) and create PostgreSQL alerts.
    • Employ Jaeger for system tracing.
    • Leadership and Collaboration:
    • Manage and mentor a small team (1-2 people).
    • Work remotely with teams across multiple regions and time zones.
    • Present and defend proposals and strategies to company management.
    • Collaborate with various departments to ensure system reliability and sustainability.

Who You Are

    • Extensive experience with monitoring systems, particularly Prometheus and Grafana.
    • Proven ability to build monitoring systems from scratch.
    • Strong technical foundation and experience in large enterprise environments.
    • Familiarity with risk management committees and understanding of fintech is a plus.
    • Proficiency in automating reports and strong technical and managerial skills.
    • Expertise in Kubernetes, microservices, and related monitoring practices.
    • Highly proactive and solution-oriented.
