We are seeking a Lead Data Scientist with a strong background in marketing analytics and machine learning. The primary responsibility of this role is to increase the number of customers acquired with a targeted payback period through optimising marketing channels. You will develop and implement an analytical framework that enables our marketing team to maximise the efficiency of various channels, assess marketing attribution, and conduct advanced A/B testing. This role will be pivotal in shaping the strategies to achieve our customer acquisition goals.
The position is open at the company hubs: Cyprus, Spain, and Poland.
Cyprus: Relocation package is provided.
Spain: we are only able to hire candidates who possess a DNI (for Spanish nationals) or an NIE (for foreign nationals). Relocation support is not provided.
Poland: employment will be under 'Umowa o Pracę' (UoP). Relocation support is not provided.
What You Will Be Doing
- Leading efforts to optimize customer acquisition across marketing channels, ensuring efficiency and targeted payback periods are met.
- Analyzing marketing channels to identify growth potential and providing strategic recommendations for improvement.
- Translating analytical insights into actionable strategies and collaborating with marketing, sales, and product teams for execution.
- Developing and maintaining frameworks to calculate Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), payback periods, and marketing attribution, adapting these frameworks to business needs.
- Managing a comprehensive marketing database, ensuring data integrity and accessibility for ongoing optimization.
- Overseeing the design and execution of A/B tests to evaluate marketing campaigns and refining strategies based on data-driven insights.
- Driving the use of advanced analytics and machine learning models, including customer segmentation and predictive modeling, to enhance marketing effectiveness.
- Leading and mentoring a team of data scientists and analysts, fostering a culture of learning and innovation.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams in a flat organizational structure to align goals and drive cohesive growth strategies.
- Communicating data-driven insights and strategic recommendations to senior leadership in a clear and impactful manner.
Who You Are
- Bring 5+ years of experience in data science focused on marketing analytics and machine learning.
- Proficient in Python, R, SQL, with experience in Databricks and cloud-based platforms.
- Skilled in data visualization and conveying complex insights to various audiences.
- Have a Master’s or Ph.D. in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of driving growth.
- Excellent communicator and experienced in leading data science teams.
- Familiar with marketing channels and advanced techniques like customer lifetime value modeling (nice-to-have)
