Role: Manager/Senior Manager – Risk & Transactions

Location: Gurugram

About the Role:
The candidate shall be responsible for transaction monitoring with a focus on customer led transactions.

About the team:
The department responsibilities include screening of Merchants as per the regulatory guidelines and against the internal negative lists maintained, ongoing monitoring and review of the transactional activity for the existing customers and to report STRs to FIU India.

What you’ll be doing:
 To perform a review and challenge control - identification and prevention of potentially fraudulent activity.
 Work on alerts, automated workflow and management reporting to support the monitoring and fraud detection process.
 You would leverage your strong product knowledge to conduct analysis of transaction data across merchant sites, providing insights into trends and customer behaviour across all businesses and regions.
 You would manage risk cases covering investigation and follow up within the defined timeframes.  You would apply this analysis to refine and improve Key Risk Indicators used in the platform (including definition and acceptance testing).
 You would guide and mentor a team of surveillance
 Identify opportunities for improving data quality, reducing ‘noise’ and false positives reported by internal quality teams
 Conduct open source search to find relevant information to complete the investigation and review.
 Capture information and documents from internal system / teams as per established norms of bank's KYC policy

What are we looking for?
 Experienced in CDD/EDD of merchants, including periodic review of line of business and other information available on the merchant/ KYC refresh
 Ability to conduct detailed investigation in Adverse / Negative Media and Transaction Surveillance / Monitoring
 Excellent communication skills with good proficiency with MS excel tools like MS Excel, MS Power Point  Good appreciation of the risks in the different line of business a merchant operates
 An ability to work independently to solve business problems, an inquisitive nature, a willingness to ask questions and challenge, ability to work in fast-paced environment and guide and mentor more junior team members
