What you’ll be doing:
Technology
• Provide mentorship on system architecture & implementation approaches and mobile app
development strategies. Work with the designers and product managers to understand their
needs. Guide the technology team to stay agile so that they meet these fast paced
requirements.
• Priorities the tech projects and tasks as per the business needs while paying due consideration
to tech debt. Coordinate and direct project plans while ensuring that the plans meet business
objectives.
• Ensure that the standard methodologies laid out by the tech organization are followed by the
teams.
• Budget for and make efficient technology investments for software and services.
• Understand the compliance requirements, find ways to implement them smartly and always
stay ahead of the compliance auditors.
• Invest adequately in ensuring security is factored into design. Be paranoid about security
and think creatively to erect security barriers

Leadership
• Guide engineering managers to arrive at efficient team structure and composition.

• Collaborate & work closely with Product & Business teams. Understand business needs and
plan ahead for any resources or tech investments.
• Help priorities the goals for the functional unit within the organization. Set both short term
and long term goals for the teams individually and together.
• Work with other Engineering leaders & contribute positively to engineering practices and
standards within the company. Unlock opportunities for achieving engineering efficiency
across the organizational units.
• Responsible for growing engineering managers and individual contributors in your team.
Provide constant and constructive feedback to the managers and leads.
• Promote the top performers, offer them opportunities to grow, ensure they are prepared for
bigger roles. Be a role model for your team!

What are we looking for?
Must Haves:
• Architect / Tech Practitioner : Experience in building mobile apps and can make a choice of
tech. Sufficient knowledge in software systems across the stack: backend, frontend and cloud
• 0 to 1 environment, start-up and enterprise experience
• Engineering management : Played key people management role to maintain the engineering
organization within their vertical or division.
• Require top-notch security, compliance (Good to have)

Desired Skills:
• 15+ years of experience leading more than a few engineering teams with implementation of
high velocity, high scale engineering products, delivering mobile apps having high DAUs and
MAUs
• Expertise taking care of risk and compliance requirements, typically in a fintech setting
• Proven experience in building and hiring teams of engineers, to help them perform at their
best
• Solid understanding of modern technology architecture, software systems such as message
queues, event based systems, RDBMS, distributed storage.
• Ability to communicate complex technology details in simplified language to key partners and
other non-tech audience. Experience in preparing accurate reports, making eloquent
presentations to the top management
